Same stuff happened to me and my brothers in Freetown. I shipped a 2000 rav4 to be sold and this story is exactly what happened to us. It took us about 4 months to get the car. Our case started at Wilberforce Police Unit to Congo Cross and then CID. The police asked to see the original paperwork for the car, but I instructed my brothers to make copies themselves and boldly write copy on each paper. This is a syndicate between the Police, the criminals and some lawyers like Lawyer Tambo.
There are always 3 sides to a conflict: His side, the other guys side and the truth ( somewhere in between).... pls interview all involved including the Police. CID and IG of police. These i believe are the tenets of Investigative journalism. More importantly stay neutral . Unless you have credible evidence , do not call out people without using the word, Allegedly.

This is a disgrace to our country. I don't think I will do any business in Sierra Leone. I can't believe this is happening in our sweet Sierra Leone. In my case, my brothers were beaten and the police at Congo cross refused to take statements from them because they were protecting the criminals. These stories need to go viral to protect innocent people who might fall prey to this scam. SICK OF OUR COUNTRY!!!

This is very sad! Don't you think acquisition of degrees/PhDs from dominion university have a negative effect on the performance of our police officers? All these underperformance officers do not understand the role of what they acclaim trained and employed for. This is stressful and sad for any well meaning nation! There is no privy of contract between Shaban and the car owners hence Abubakarr who was allegedly given $6000 as deposit was not acting as agent for the car owners.

Indeed, Congo Cross Police Station is one the most reckless and Corrupt division Police department in the Western area, Sierra Leone.
And I know of one Arnold Dumbuya is a old time crook in that police Station.
He'd numerous Criminal Convictions leading up to high Court and escaped Justice through the backdoor backed by his police colleagues in the Courts.
When I mentioned courts I meant different courts sittings. With these bunch of Crooks only God will protect the owner of that Vehicle.
Most of the people in that country aren't honest when its comes to anything dealing with Business transactions.
The only thing is to very, very careful about your dealings with anything over there.
I've been suffering for my lands issue police only concern about the day to day money am spending
£37000 in total I've lost so far. No one's there to help. Soon the noticed you're from abroad They think you're foreigner and you're rich.
It is disgusting indeed to hear such stories about the country, especially with the involvement of the police whom we expect to protect the rights of the people. I hope this case is pursued to clarify its underlying motive.
