Why? What does it mean to be British? Define it. Why would you be proud because of the actions of other people who you don’t know? Stop your unthinking primitive patriotism and open your mind.

Mark Fahey there's a damn good reason for not taking prisoners in those situations, terrorists are not to be trusted, they would wave a white flag while hiding a grenade. Same reply to an earlier post.

I remember watching this i was 14. Going to school next day it was all everyone was talking about. Most had never heard of the SAS. I spoke to a teacher that my elder brother had not long done a years stint in the Falklands: 'Where'? She said. Just off Argentina i replied! 'Oh' she said. My brother is in the SBS (raiding squad) i told her proudly. 'Who'? She replied! The rest they say is history.
You weren’t in the main assault team Robin, you we’re back up all the way, and Rusty Firman would confirm this, you were definitely on the job, but you we’re not first strike.
I've watched another show about the iranian embassy siege, read about the siege from at least two different books/sources, but never heard of the Telex room killing, of two unarmed and surrendering terrorists.
I sat watching it happen with my mother and we,the public, couldn't care less if two terrorists tried to surrender! They'd already murdered innocent people! Too late for that crap!!
Every resource should be given to SAS the greatest close combat unit in the world. They should be on £50,000 a year plus expenses. Free bus passes and packed lunches.
With today's safety brigade into everything, they would have the SAS IN HIGH VIS JACKETS,hard hats and ear defenders! The lads on the roof would have to be tied off to Nelsons Collumn.lol
When they green light the S.A.S they aint going in there with tea and buiscuts. All bets are off they got the job done the saved a load of hostages and the Iranian embassy got a refurb and a new paint job end of.
Ah Mr Trevor could've ended this long before any of this happened but he never had the bottle ! Thank god he was a bottler or the sas probably still wouldn't be known.

Exactly ! And these days they have gone all woke...even worse.

A legend who sadly didn't want to live anymore.
08:40 certainly saved tax payers from footing the bill for trials, etc.
Thing is the sas guys could not have known 100% these terrorists were unarmed. They did the right thing 100% 👏
