Okinawan Village!!! AMAZING!!

A great recommendation here from Ishigaki: Yaimamura, or the Yaima Village.
The “mura” in this case comes from the kanji 村, which means “village” (and it's present in many names!)

It's open every day from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM!
Highly recommended for those interested in local history and who appreciate nature.
Before going, we already knew that the main attraction was the monkeys. At first, we were a bit apprehensive about using the monkeys for entertainment. However, we were able to confirm that they do their best to keep them in a natural-like environment. They let them roam freely in a large area with plenty of natural vegetation and free from predators. The entry of people is restricted by quantity and time. They respect the monkeys' rest and habits. Additionally, there are veterinarians who take care of the animals' health and specialists who ensure a controlled diet. It's not always possible to feed them!
Thank you in advance for your understanding and I hope you enjoy the dance show too! The performances are held about three times a day, and each one is different! It seems that in one of them, the spectators also join the dance circle and learn some traditional moves!
A very fun destination, and I hope this video has been able to convey a little bit of the cheerful and peaceful atmosphere of the village!
