They pissed off a Speeder bike gang and the Pykes Syndicate and they think they can just get away with it. I knew retribution would come to the Tuskens sooner or later. Boba should have known this was going to happen, he knew how ruthless Crime Organizations in the Outrim are.
Foreal they had such a great bond i really didn’t expect this but it’s brilliant writing made us feel connected to them which is insane cause i always hated tusken raiders always being annoying in the movies
I notice the Twins didn't actually renounce their claim to Tatooine, they just left 'cause they didn't want to fight the new syndicate. They're probably hoping that Fett and the Pykes will weaken each other so they can just come back later and take over without opposition.
They pulled up expecting 1 of 2 things. Boba dead so they can take over and put the rancor there for themselves or 2 which is what we saw

my theory is that they legit never cared, but they knew that if they didn't reclaim the territory, it would be considered a show of weakness to their enemies - especially since Boba Fett was a nobody in the eyes of the crime families of Mos Espa and the universe at large. in other words, they were going through the motions for outside appearances.
My theory is the twins found out that cab bean is with the pike and didn’t wanna deal with that so they probably left, hoping that bane and bubba fatt probably kill each other and then they can come in and and have the pikes sleeping with the fishes, and take back Jabba land that or they just did not want to deal with the bane

What got me is when Boba threw the Tusken youngling’s stick in the fire. The youngling used that stick on the monster that attack both him and Boba, which gave Boba the advantage. The youngling used that stick hoping he could one day be a warrior. I am sad that these Tuskens were slaughtered by criminal forces. But it shows how good the writing is in this show by giving so much depth and culture to a group of people with little dialogue.
Theory: The Pikes committed the attack, and are using the speeder bike gangs insignia as a red herring

Not a bad point, but they’re too clean. This point in the timeline of star wars is everything’s a little dystopian. Bright and shiny vehicles don’t really fit in. That’s just my take.
I'd be okay with it if it was on like Coruscant, but they just dont fit in with Tattooine. They're way too clean for a sand planet and teens who have steal water to survive.

The witches of Dathomir who rode the rancors was from the (now legend) book The Courtship of Princess Leia.
That’s a great book and those force witches were awesome.
So were the Rancors they rode, damn things were the size of AT-ST's!! Imagine Boba rocking up to that tavern riding his Rancor, bet that Twi'lek lady won't be giving him any sass for not spotting his litter in the street then!

@@TimeCircleBlue No idea on how big they can get, but from what I remember Jabba's one should have been larger for it's age but it's growth was stunted due to being kept in that cave.
That bike chase scene was... okay. It definitely felt off. Like they were moving so slowly when the scene was making it seem they were speeding. In any case, thank you again for your compilations, they're the things I look forward to the most after the episodes themselves.
Wouldve made more sense if they were riding hoverboards or something small instead of those colorful scooters.
I felt the whole scene would have been improved if it like, took place in the evening or at dusk, not in broad daylight. I can forgive the speed they were going, but I really wish they picked just one color for all the bikes, rather than four bright colors

I LOVE that when Danny mentions Rancor being emotionally complex, it not only expands on the Rancor as a species, but on the ones who bond with them or own them. I'm especially happy Trejo mentioned the WITCHES of Dathomir. It's the first time, even indirectly, that someone has referred to there being more than just the Nightsister clan on Dathomir! If you'd only seen the Clone Wars, Fallen Order, or Rebels show you'd think there was nothing but Mother Talzin's clan and other affiliated dark siders on the whole dang planet!
And does anyone else really love the aesthetic they have with Krrsanton? I don't know why, but the whole crisscrossing bandolier and pauldron set up really give him an air of dominance compared to the normal look for Wookies.

One detail that I absolutely love is that the funeral dirge that's playing as he encounters and then burns the bodies of the Tuskens is in Mando'a (the Mandalorian language). The lyrics are "Aliit ori'shya tal'din", meaning "family is more than blood"

1.- The motor gang doesn't fit in Star Wars
2.- Black Krrsantan is the worst bounty hunter in this episode, Boba was in the tank it would only take 1 shot, of stab or poison to kill him, but no he just toss him around, in the comics he's a killing machine, this is so out of character for him
3.- A lot of plot holes, how the Fuck Black Krrsantan entered boba's lair? Do they just left open the gigantic metal door? Unsupervised?
3.1 Boba had to go back to the tank a soon as possible after his "fight" against the assassins, but he's ok after black Krrsantan almost broke his back and skull with those metal Knuckles???

4.- The chasing scene is lame as fuck

I find it funny that Disney never considered relevant and/or they didn't want to use details/data/lore from the stand-alone novels to create this new era in the SW universe. But here comes Favreau and Feloni practically saying Frak it and using all the details they can insert everywhere. With the Witches of Dathomir comment, I screamed! I read a LOT of those novels and love 'em! Man, can't wait for next season!

In the real world regardless of economic situations, some gangs like to stand out from the crowd. These are the people that buy import parts, put together flamboyant vehicles that don't fit in the grey village towns they live in. They polish and heap a lot of care on these things, then parade them about town or intimidate other gangs.
These youths or gangs feel that even though they are stuck in this drab town of farmers and dirt, they can remake themselves to stand out a look the way they want to be.
That's real-life around the world.
These kids are meant to feel out of a place of all the dirt, they chose it, it's their lifestyle. The star wars galaxy is huge and its life varied, we are now getting a chance to see more of it. Try not to place artificial limits on the imagination.
even if they value appearances it just doesnt make sense that theres no sand or dirt or scuffs anywhere on their clothing or bikes since they live on a shitty desert planet covered in sand
Yeah thats my thoughts too, I just feel like some Disney exec got his grubby hand in this one " make the bikes colorful" . No pattern, no logos or stripes on the bikes just power ranger junk. I agree with OP keep an open mind and the enhancements I could see except they can't afford water, how do they afford expensive gadgets with no jobs. Stolen sure but in a world worn down by dust and sand some wear and tear would've been "more" believable

I’m not convinced that speeder gang wiped out the Tusken Clan. I think it was a frame job by the mayor or the Pyks to have their enemies fighting each other so they can just squash whoever is left. I could be wrong though.

While not mentioned by name, the Witches of Dathomir did appear in live action, albeit years ago. Charal from "Ewoks: The Battle for Endor" was a Dathomirian witch.

As my understanding. Filoni and Favreau said that all the Star Wars shows in the Mando universe where to have characters go from series to series.
Does Din come to help Boba and bring Bo and the Nite Owls. Since we saw Bo Katan in Clone Wars season 7 tailing Ahsoka. As far as I know Bo had no love for the Pykes.
Maybe Din brings Mandalorians to help Boba.

Danny Trejo is a Rancor trainer. Out of all the concepts of Star Wars That's the one that is most Believable!
I love this. While The Mandolorian is more like Witcher, taking bounties, building a reputation and occasionally getting involved in higher affairs, Book of Boba Fett feels more like New Vegas; a stranger in a strange land who comes into a place of power, helming one group and gathering allies while picking his enemies.

My only problem with this episode is that the speeder bikes felt more like they'd belong on corusant
This is a long shot but I am hoping the Syndicate is the Zann Consortium. The hints we got that made me think of this is the Night Sister references as well as the Syndicate being unknown but being able to scare the Hutts, the only other two that have that power in Star Wars is the Black Suns and the Zann Consortium.
I think the guy playing Krrsantan actually played a Predator in one of the films. And yes - he's huge :)
