That is what I call a travelling guitar. Only feature it needs is to be waterproof! Maybe that would make it usable as a paddle or spade too, since it looks like this!
yes I have made a waterproof carbon fibre one and used it as a paddle.cheers I throw it in the car and put luggage and normal car rubbish on it and it sems to be ok after about three yeaRS playing ..I do like the idea of the stethoscope as I have used one on my stick guitar.
I've run all over the midwest with a Steinberger spirit...used to carry a l'il Peavey Vypyr, now I use iRig and phones, or plug it in my car stereo or job radio... Awesome rig !
@toptone - I would very much doubt it - there is no amp to drive the headphones. I have a Traveler Speedster and use a VOX Amplug headphone amp. Does just what you describe - stick a battery in the amplug and headphones/ear buds in it and you're ready to go. Depending on your music style, I use an acoustic simulator, they also come from VOX in rock, jazz, etc. styles. Around $35 and very small - looks like a right-angle plug. The Pro-series has the stethoscope for unamplified playing.
hello sir. Is there any of your guitars that are 4 frets shorter than the classical scale, i mean like a guitarlélé or a lapstick? I find it would be great, if saving place is your concern, and i think it is, to sell at least one model of that kind. 4 big frets is a lot of place. anyway, does anyone know a brand that makes guitars like lapsticks, but other than lapsticks?
how can i order this in the Philippines or do you have any stores in asia? ive looked in japan but they don't sell travelers guitar but a fold-able guitar? any comments?
The quiet playing headphones is a bit of a turn off. Couldn't you use the regular headphones like modern human being? I saw other traveler guitar where you can plug regular 3.5 mm in there.
+AlienElysium No reason you can't plug in one of these belt-pack FX and amp-simulator things. But having a batteries free solution that doesn't break or need a new battery is appealing.
Hello there, I'm wondering if there is any possibility to put the top arm support of the speedster on this guitar? also, it is surely very cool to be able to play with absolutely no power at all (thx the stethoscope) be would a Vox amPlug fit on this plug? and, last but not the least, can you ship it in ..let's say france for exemple :p
I have the original escape acoustic electric, and it's my most played guitar. It's kinda ugly and looks like a boat oar, but it sounds pretty good plugged in my 15w marshall, and the wife doesn't bitch too much because it's small enough to rest against the end of the couch out of site. These ultra lights though.........I tried one at guitar center, it seemed very fragile, and sounded kind of flat. I don't care for the stethoscope feature, or the location of the jack, but that's personal preference. If you want a good travel guitar go for the originals or the EG's.
You're thinking of the original ultralight. I'm referring to the very first traveler escape , travelerguitar.com/store#!/Original-Escape/p/38792493/category=10154105 which is built quite a bit beefier than the ultralights. It's kind of weird but they have what appears to be the exact same guitar listed also as a nylon.
davejohnson lol. You should read the titles next time. It said box opening on the title. There is a seprate video for the full review with the play test.

I have been looking at these for years now...thanks for the vid. I will be purchasing one soon.

ok, so when are you releasing a 7 string 24 fret version?
Will it djent tho?
I didn't know they came with a stethoscope. That is a really cool idea.
D. Hulbert the stethoscope is very uncomfortable
the version I got has a coiled g string. is it acoustic strings??? can replace them all with electric? would it sound the same??

Very concise explanations. Excellent.
Can you use a 1/4" to 1/8" adaptor and plug earbuds into the output jack?
Is there a nylon string model?
Lazer Music in the Philippines carries our guitars--check them out online.
What is the total lenght?
why don't you do an unboxing for each of your products? it would really help :)
That's stupid man that "John" bought fuckin' traveler guitar and than sent messages about why doesn't it have headstock and knobs :DDDDD
Do you have a distributor here in the Philippines?
Traveler Guitar that box is a quadrilateral, not a triangle. It has 4 sides
how can i order this in the Philippines or do you have any stores in asia? ive looked in japan but they don't sell travelers guitar but a fold-able guitar? any comments?
John couldn't figure this out ?

Agreed. It looks like a mutated boat oar. Appearance wise, I would prefer the escape concert, or mark III, but looks aside I'm very happy with it.
Very Cool!!
this is genius!!!!
No Tuner?...
i got one of these for 15 bucks at a goodwill :D
it's rather comfortable as far as stethoscope type things go
impressive..
Lol I can not with that stethoscope
Interesting product, but stethoscope earpieces are extremely uncomfortable.
I would rather get a Steinberger than this, and that was what I did...
the cost dosent justify this ugly guitar .nothing brillient in the design like n.s guitars.
Visit our website at travelerguitar (dot) (com) slash dealers
headset???? jajajajajaja. the rest of the guitar is amazing
Very good and useful. Thank you. However, please "go ahead" and watch the movie "Office Space". Hopefully you will never say "go ahead" again! ;>).
you miss play
its ugly and pricy and no sustain. youre better off with a mini squire . sorry but this is just crazy.
thats one wierd guitar 0_o
This is...odd
AFTER ALL THAT HE DOESN'T PLAY THE DAMN THING!!! WHAT A FRIGGIN' WASTE !!!!!!!
