I love your videos no matter how long or short. ❤ I woke up this morning and told myself that I need a break from Instagram and Facebook and then I watched this video and heard you say the same thing! I feel the same way! I want to stitch and sew and read more. I found myself wasting so much time on social media. I am heading to my local library tomorrow to check out some books. Thank you for the reminder and to know I am not alone in this feeling. 🥰
You could never be boring! Your video was short and sweet. I am semi-monogamous, I usually work on 1 or 2 projects at time. I don't like having too many WIPS. Your quilt is amazing, that is a LOT of hand stitching! Thanks for sharing your beautiful stitching.
Beautiful work like always.😊 I am inspired to start the Jelly Garden quilt. I have a small bag of fabrics in a similar line of fabrics that I got from a friend who tragically passed away and I haven’t known what to do with them, but seeing your quilt made me think it would be a perfect way to memorialize her memory in a hand pieced quilt! I will long arm quilt it as I have done it for many of these quilts in the past and loved the way they turned out, however this one may require all hand work to keep with how special it is. Time will tell. Good for you too take a break from social media...it is SO bad for us to spend so many hours getting hits of dopamine that mess us up! Keep up all the beautiful things that you do! We love all your videos, short, long, full of tons of patterns or just the work on a few you have accomplished. Happy spring and Happy Easter!❤
You make the most beautiful project bags!I am not the only who thinks so because they go so fast when you post. I don’t think I will ever be fast enough. Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching & your Hexie quilt is gorgeous. 💖💝💕🌸
You are not boring. I thoroughly enjoy your flosstube videos. I especially love what you pick to stitch. thank you so much for taking the time to film. God bless you ❤
You're never, ever boring, you're a joy to watch for sure. Love your beautiful work and is good to take that break. Sure can get more done from social media watching 😂❤
Thanks for the video! Looove the monogamous stitch! It’s going to be beautiful. I changed my social media to five scrolls and not first thing in the morning. I read a lot but also listen to True Crime podcasts while stitching. Have a good couple months! Happy stitching and reading!
Love the shorter videos; it gives space to watch more flosstubers! There are only 24 hours a day, and some of them unfortunately are spent at work and sleeping. So sometimes short videos are preferred! You've done some beautiful work, I wish I could quilt like you! Happy stitching from Sweden!
I hope you'll hand quilt your jelly garden. That's totally worth it if you can stand it for as long as it will take! Your projects (x stitch and quilting both) are exquisite ✨
Beautiful work, as always! I especially enjoyed seeing your EPP quilt top, Jelly Garden. You are inspiring me to get my EPP back out! I’m also trying to read more…I even managed to read a little each day for 3 weeks and then got too busy. Looking forward to your next video…whenever you get to it!
Beautiful projects and sewing as always. I share your love of fabric colours especially French General. I started off quilting and but cross stitch more at the moment as it is more portable and I can do in short bursts. I too am trying to read more. I listen to books when I walk or drive the children around. It's thoroughly enjoyable. I'm so thankful for goodreads as I can't even remember the plot of a book I finished a week ago let alone a year ago and it's great to see if I've read it or not. I borrow books from the library, audio books from the library, try to buy from opp shops (what we call thrift stores here in Australia) and will occasionally buy a book I know I will want to keep such as Tudor History - just love that genre. Take care.
What beautiful handwork Nicole. I am going to see about that Humble Hands book. I love working on samplers too. I assume your paper piecing work was done by hand. What patience and determination to complete. Then again, that is exactly what needlework is all about. Thanks for sharing.🧵🪡🥰
Nicole your stitching is so beautiful! I love your bags ,you inspire me to make some new bags for myself. I know what you mean about social media, you can get lost and before you know it several hours later! Thanks for sharing 😊
I always enjoy seeing what you're working on, even if it's not a lot. I am mostly a monogamous stitcher and I enjoy seeing the progress on my projects.
You could never be boring Nicole! Love your beautiful work stitching and quilting. Such inspiration from all your work! I too agree with you about instagram etc. Thanks for sharing with us! Love Ginger too! ❤
Beautiful stitching and I love your hexi quilt. I enjoyed your video today and can understand the need for the social media break. I get much more done too when I limit miy screen time.
Hi Nicole, happy to see you and Ginger! Love your monogamous stitch, she is going to be stunning. I understand about social media, I’ve been taking a break. It takes a lot of time away from everyday living. Happy stitching! ❤
Hi Nicole, the french general project bags are gorgeous! I can relate on the monogamous stitching, because I am that kind too. When I was younger I’ve been started many project at the same time, well… I still have some unfinished x-stitch and quilts from that period, that was about 20 years ago! When I restart stitching I decided to make just one project at the time, and I found It’s better for me to accomplish my goals. I deactivated my Facebook account from December 31 to March 16… but unfortunately here in my city all the local events are announced on fb actually, so I felt like I didn’t know any news or know if there was an interesting event like a gallery opening, a vernissage etc. so I activate it again, but I don’t spend too much time on social media in general. So happy stitching and relaxing! Xoxo G.
Hi Nicole. It's so good to see you again. I love your videos, no matter if they are short or longer. Hi Ginger, pretty girl. I also love strawberry borders too-aren't they wonderful. See you next time. Pam Miller
Hi Nicole! So happy to see you post this latest video😀! I love seeing all the bags you have created. We have similar taste in fabric lines so thanks for the inspiration. Your cross stitch projects are beautiful, too. Hope it rains for you up in South Carolina…we lived in Charleston for 3 years and the pollen can be brutal. 🤧Great time to stitch 🧵🪡xxx. Blessings on your day. Hugs 🤗 Suzanne
Always glad to see your videos. I’m pretty much down to a few I’m tuned into anymore lol. I’m such a sampler stitcher I get bored nonsampler ones. Your EF is going strong. I think I have one glower done lol. Your quilt is fabulous. I got a tutorial on it. So pretty! I just completed Harry Potter squares for the HarryPotterQAL. Then back to my swoon16. Never boring. It’s ok to visit often and chat lol.
You are never boring, but bravo on the break to social media! We all need to connect, but I am sure you have a core group of friends & creators that close.... I love your hexie quilt! Still pluggin' away with mine, but need to start adding the background fabric! Can't seem to rest on a fabric that I LOVE. Well take care
This is AWESOME! I love the short update and the heavy stitching on very intense samplers! It’s the only way to get them done! So happy to see you! You have inspired me to take an IG break too!!!!
Your stitching and quilt are coming along beautifully. I'd probably be monogamous too if I were stitching Elizabeth Furniss. It's gorgeous! Take care, and happy stitching.
Great to see you Nicole!! Elizabeth Furniss is such a gorgeous sampler! I have also been really limiting my social media time and have been reading as well. Thanks as always and happy stitching!
I really enjoyed your video. I had to look up the Ann Tong sampler when I saw that beautiful basket you stitched. It’s HUGE … but that didn’t stop me from ordering it. I hope I can do it justice. I’m also in SC and looking forward to going to my first stitch group next Sunday afternoon. I won’t know a soul there, but I’m going anyway. 😬🤞
Hi Nicole 🙋🏻♀️I went down the rabbit hole 🐰 🕳️ by watching the Murdaugh Trial down in your State. Such a time buster! But so nice to see you and your Ginger on your lap at the end! Hope I will be near my phone for a chance to get one of your bags, not that I can’t make one because I’ve quilted for many years, but because it’s been made by you😘 So special so 🤞🏻❤😊
You are amazing with the hexagons. I would take 5 million years to finish a quilt like that. I would be super interested in what you are reading during your break. I am also a reader and am always looking for good books. I love anything at all from science fiction to autobiography if you would like to share. The French general is one of my most favorite fabric collections as well. I pad bag was genius, I will have to make one for the daughter and one for my nook.
Beautiful work, Nicole! I hear you about the social media. I’m making more headway with projects now that I have weaned myself away from watching horses, cats, and babies. I recommend “A Woman of No Importance” by Sonia Purcell, an audio that kept me plugging away with my knitting and cross stitch. Cheers.
There’s nothing wrong with being a bit boring LOL. I try to be strictly monogamous but will work on something small if a chart takes too long - like Autumn at HRH. Love what you’re stitching on!
I love your videos no matter how long or short. ❤ I woke up this morning and told myself that I need a break from Instagram and Facebook and then I watched this video and heard you say the same thing! Love seeing what you are doing. Your garden quilt is beautiful. What are you reading? I am always looking for a good book.
There’s nothing wrong with being a bit boring LOL. I try to be strictly monogamous but will work on something small if a chart takes too long - like Autumn at HRH. Love what you’re stitching on!
Do you frame all your work? (gorgeous)
Hi Nicole, thank you for sharing. Your projects look beautiful ❤️. Would you share your book recommendations with us? Or your Goodreads handle?
I actually just changed it to Nicole’s Needlework to make it easier - www.goodreads.com/nicolesneedlework.
How many paper Hexies total, for your quilt?

Did you post your project bags from this episode yet??😊
