Sir im having an issue when there is low petrol in bike .... like not on reserve but low petrol then with respect to gear if I accelerate more bike loses its rpm for fraction of seconds ...... is it normal or should i check it from service center this happens with every gear if i rev more but if i change gears frequently with there respected rpm then it doesn't happen ..... Im confused

My Fz25 old model without abs.....35000km and running....and end point is very true about yamalube engine oil quality and oil quantity 1L option is very genuine.

I am a proud owner of FZ250 BSIV model. Everytime I ride this machine it makes me smile. The best part about this bike is the beautifully crafted & ever reliable engine. When It touches 90km-100km you can't even hear the engine sound - its so refined. I feel like am riding a 500cc bike - thats called character. Its the best in 250 cc class. People always compare KTM 250 with this bike, well honest opinion KTM is faster, but overall performance and long term ownership Yamaha destroys all rivals.
Each and every word you have said is absolutely true👍🏻 i also do feel the same..once this bike crossess 6k rpm its like free revving machine.. without noise.. without vibrations😊 i wish i will cross more than 1 lakh km on this bike

i also have the same bike,
1. yor lubrication oil u are wiling to shell out little more so u could try out liquid molly same oil grade or lower and hight temp rating. then u will find that the oil filter is worth it
2. yamaha led lighting sad we are the unfortunate but spending near to 3000 for 2 pairs of turn signal led are xpensive.
3. breaks pads are xpensive 1600 for front and rear.
4. proud of owning this because its xported to south and central america and also japan which for me is a great thing

If you use full synthetic oil like motul, it comes with extra viscosity. You can use it upto 4-5k kms. I do it on my 150cc sz-r.
This machine of yamaha Fz25 is very good enough as I experienced it for three years

I upgraded the rear tyre to appolo 150 section and it's running like a blast with excellent road grip. This is very underrated but crisp bike with very few vibrations.

Fz25 or Ns 200 which one is best for city as well as highway?
This bike is so underrated.. maine fz15 li 5 months pehle bohot badiya chal rhi hai.. ichha fz25 ki thi but bs6 ke baad kaafi costly ho gyi pehle se aur fuel price bhi🚀

@@josephstalin9481 i would prefer hunter because I prefer comfortable, easy to ride motorcycles, and its retro looks are pretty cool too.. but if i wanted a fast and more thrilling motorcycle which i can also use as commuter then i would have preferred fz25.. it's really not an easy decision for me

Superb review. Yamaha people are you listening to his last few comments about oil filter and oil quantity? Please take steps to ensure resource wastage is minimized. I have a Honda scooter and there also wastage of oil takes place. Infact one service person says they collect these oil leftover and use it on another bike, charging full to the new customer. One oil can is saved and sold by these service men and they distribute money amongst them ! Please, bike manufacturers, gear up to help us save money and resource.

What a lovely and to the point review....hatts off to u but regarding the Gearing i would like to advice u that if u can install a smaller rear sprocket having lesser teeth or u can have a larger front sprocket with +1 teeth then ur need for a 6th gear would come to an end

FZ 25 actually produces same power output at crank as same as any 250 cc bike, because Compression ratios should be anyhow close to any other bike. But the output at wheel will always depend on the tuning and sprocket as well as weight of bike (as well as diameter of tyre), since FZ 25 is designed for traffic, its output is kept lowest at wheel with high sprocket to acquire high torque at low rpm.

👍, if we change sprocket size what will be the impact on performance, I seen in one of the vdo that he installed lower size sprocket for more top speed & engine smoothness, is it correct?

I have been riding Yamaha fazer fi for last 5 years. It never gave me any trouble. I'm looking forward to get a Fz25. I guess some mods need to be done to do touring in this motorcycle like raised handlebar & all. Your review was very helpful, bro. Keep the good work

Was very happy to watch this detailed review covering life journey of the bike. This definetly helps us to be prepared for the ownership. Am planning to buy this bike for my son. Was not able to decide betn fz25 & rtr 200 4v, but after watching this review have made my decision. I had taken test ride of both bikes & found handling & braking safety better in fz25. Rtr 200 tries to showcase features, but what matters is the riding exp, safety & comfort. Myself ride the RE Himalayan. Keep up the good work bro
Do u change oil filter with the oil every 2.5k kms, which is ideally recommended. But have u tried just cleaning the oil filter at 2.5 with petrol & changing it at 5k. Cost of oil filter is suprisingly high, in my RE Him it costs rs70-80. Unless the filter is damaged, am sure can be used till 5k at least.

It's been 37K On my FZ25, never touched Tappets as they will self adjust according to engine temprature.
I still ride it on 120-130 kmph on highways.
Average maintenance cost me around 3K.
I'm using Motul 7100 oil And Liqui moly Fork oil when needed. Stock Doesn't have much to offer.
If you know your bike best, then it doesn't bother you at all.

Hey, I am still using stock Yamaha engine oil. Planning to use motul 7100 10w40. Did you use any engine oil flush before changing the engine oil brand. What changes did you notice after changing to Motul and how many KMS does it last?

@@ronymathew3272 yes, i did use a liqui moly engine flusher. Before making transition from stock to aftermarket. I've made this transition at approx 7000Km. And since then I'm using it till this day.
I've noticed significant amount of change like
Changed engine sound, no rattling sound, no False neutral. smoother gear shifts, and Engine grunt has also changed like engine wants to rev. It's effective in hot climate condition and if your bike gets hot abnormally. I've tried different brands in Between the transition including Yamaha Sporty premium, liqui moly etc but none worked like motul 71000 20W50
(1.5 liters ). For me it lasts 10000KMs, i travel on regular basis, daily distance of 100km up and down, with crusing speed of 100-120. ( Oil duration depends Upon climate condition and style of riding).

Yes right choice. If your height is less than 6 feet, I suggest do consider handle bar risers. It will make your life much much easier and fun riding the bike. I got mine in March 22

Hey brought one recently, initial pick up is awesome and torquey.
Have done close to 800 kms.But after riding for 1 hr straight. After I cool the engine for 10 minutes, I have starting issues. it starts after revving but stops after I put the first gear ? Can you advise please as to what seems to be the issue ?

And regarding improvements, yamaha still providing the same engine oil so many of the fz25 owners are using motul or liquimolly to solve the problem
