I grew up in 1970s south west London, in an Irish community (parents from Galway and Leitrim). Johnny McEvoy was always a favourite. Ireland has changed. My parents and most of their generation are gone. However, I love Johnny McEvoy. His music brings back so many wonderful memories. So, thank you!

It really is hard to believe it's been over a year since we started these Wednesdays Johnny and don't they just get better. The Homes of Donegal really takes me back to when my parents would come home from the Irish club here on Saturday nights bringing friends with them and my brother Patrick and I used to come downstairs and join in the singing! We always used to finIsh with The Patriot Game, such happy days 💚🇮🇪 I hope one time you'll give us the Ballad of Michael Collins, take care and thank you so much for your time and your wonderful voice x

Do you recall the Bibi Show when Maureen Potter told the story of Bridie... Pacing up and down..anxious... Maureen asked Bridie was was wrong.... She said the guy on stage, who she was about to follow was si going all her songs.... The singers name... Daniel O'Donnell.

Nice touch doing that for bríde. Nice feeling of sincerity about thst version. U told me in Letterkenny a few years ago u played the North star ballroom in carrigart in 1971 I bet that song sounded as good that nite as it did now keep safe
