    Did you know that letting oil drain into the pan for a full hour will get more oil out, regardless of temp. Not much benefit beyond 2hrs. The filter should be removed first, to allow the extra oil to drain into the sump, then remove drain plug. The cap should be replaced every 2 years. It has an important bypass valve inside and can fail over time. Once refilled, clear flood crank the engine, by holding accelerator down. It will refill filter and push oil through the engine, similar to an engine prime. Did you know that 10-20% of old oil remains in an engine. Once a year, after drain and new filter, add 2 qts, and clear flood engine for one minute, it will flush the old oil out. Drain and add all new oil. The oil will clean and protect much better. These GDI engines are very dirty from fuel dilution and soot.

    Very easy . But I do take ours to Ford dealership $54 dollars the check and grease it plus rotate and balance my tires. They be doing ours for 9 years really like them. they take care of us very good . Plus on wife car they over tighten the oil drain plug and had to put new oil pan on it no charge to us. So Im happy with take it there. And I dont have to lay on ground. You know it only cost about $320 to change oil in my big truck that it takes 11 gallons of oil 2 fuel filter and 1 oil filter. Really make you lol at Harley wanting thay much to change oil motorcycles . Wow that was long comment. I wounder if you still reading it lol have good one .

    • @chrismiller7515

      @@TechnMoto I'm guessing it's from the filter itself

    • @TechnMoto
      @TechnMoto  Рік тому

      @@chrismiller7515 ok I took a look at mine. If there is a small spring in the filter it maybe from the cap. The cap has a spring in it for the pressure relief mechanism, I think. This spring should not come out of the cap. No other spring in this area that I know of. When you remove the filter from the cap look at the center of the cap. It should have a spring in there. Kinda looks like a cage that hold the spring in. Send me an email and I’ll send you a pic of it. If the spring is from there you will have to replace the oil filter cap too.

    Hello Mike, I didn't know that the oil change is with a warm engine. Makes sense,
    I know when My tires get rotated my dad and my husband loosen them and just hand snug the lug nuts so if I get a flat i will be able to change the tire.
    thanks for sharing 💕NonnaGrace

    Cheap oil and filter reason why I only buy new cars

    • @TechnMoto
      @TechnMoto  3 роки тому +2

      Cheap lol, you really think everyone makes their own oil? Been in the business many years and the only difference is the name as long as it’s the same type. Any how brand of oil has been a crazy debate for many years lol. All I can say is no matter what brand of oil used I have driven all my cars to about 200k before I get rid of them. One last thing- buying new cars is not the way to wealth unless of course you have money and that’s not an issue. Any how thank you for taking the time to comment and for watching the video. I appreciate that and wish you a glorious day.
