I know this pastor. I grew up with him and he is legit. He preaches the true gospel. We have been trained to think just because some churches are larger and use gimmicks to illustrate a point or even if they enjoy prosperity that they are corrupt. That’s not always the case.
Our church is also entertaining but it's still about God and shit like that, it's just not boring like everything else They even have programs for kids where they teach them Bible stuff too, but in a play style thing

Why do they make church a show and entertainment when the focus should be on Jesus alone not the pastor. Jesus is Lord and we need to respect the house of worship.
It is better to enjoy a fun church where you will eventually learn something by heart. Than church that you go to just hear but never learn anything. But as someone who also used to dunk on religion, (I'm still not religious just educated on the subject matter now) I think you don't realize the communal aspect to it. Obviously each church is different, but many offer community and counsel to those who don't have access to or don't seek it out themselves. Also what is in the Bible vs what people say is in it or twist it to mean are two different things. There are obvious cons to religion, but I think dismissive generalizations are not the way to highlight those. I think in general we should avoid ingorant dismissals.

I been in white churches where i observed for minutes . . hours at a time.. lot of weird shit that's seen as normal. . you see less than 12 second video of THIS man and instantly deem it foolish. he was clearly just having fun with his church. not a big deal. K.I.M.
I have been to many of these churches on Sundays , where the Padtors are competing to see who has the most eye- catching, attention-getting-gimmick. Even in the music there is emphasis on attention getting gimmicks.

Why do they make church a show and entertainment when the focus should be on Jesus alone not the pastor. Jesus is Lord and we need to respect the house of worship.

But as someone who also used to dunk on religion, (I'm still not religious just educated on the subject matter now) I think you don't realize the communal aspect to it. Obviously each church is different, but many offer community and counsel to those who don't have access to or don't seek it out themselves.
Also what is in the Bible vs what people say is in it or twist it to mean are two different things.
There are obvious cons to religion, but I think dismissive generalizations are not the way to highlight those. I think in general we should avoid ingorant dismissals.
