Not gonna lie, from the gameplay we're seeing he kinda just looks like a better Vita Mimic, his rage mode highlights survivors AND buffs his speed. His sneak mode also builds rage when you stalk players within a certain radius which is kinda insane, sort of wish they did that with Vita.
He does what mimic does, and does it better, mimic starts off with ass damage and bleed,and they both have a gimmick that suppresses their usually loud sound effects, perfectly allowing them to sneak around and get lone survivors really easily, jeff does this better due to his rage meter.

Ambushing as a Mimic just doesn't work sometimes, especially when you are actively taking penalties from people sticking together. It just seems outdated to me compared to all the other monsters. Like Mimic isn't bad by any means, but he's gonna be irrelevant pretty soon.

If you think about it, Baldi's Schoolhouse is the worst Map for Jeff because you can't sneak up on anyone in the giant hallway or the Cafeteria since its so wide, and the players can just run around you and escale

Very slightly overtuned is an understatement. This is brainrot OP. This is a point and click adventure game. PCX at least required you to land your abilities, this is just a fast M1 killer. It's just a better fogborn. Maniacal haste gives you more than enough time to get from target to target and they have no hope of surviving. IMO, maniacal haste shouldn't give you vision on players. It should force you to find them yourself. This would encourage players to actually hide when you use the ability and make it feel like you could play against it. Silent Stalker should instead act as their aura reading, allowing them to see characters from a medium range while stalking, but once they go into frenzy, they need to keep eyes on people and catch them manually. Also, they currently seem to be so fast that nomatter how bad jeff fumbles stamina management, they will kill you and you have no hope of escaping for even a small period of time. Hopefully this is not the state he launches in, and they will learn from PCX and make a killer that is fun to play against instead of being a braindead player grinder with 0 skill involved or counterplay.

You just enter haste and run at people and M1, and there's no real counterplay for survivors, you just chain around and kill the lobby at blistering speeds, making even PCX the infamous fun killer look tame, because at least you can juke and stall PCX due to the nature of his abilities. I think a good solution to keep the power and make him more fun to face is to take the highlight on the haste and put it onto his stalk instead. This gives more use for stalk and forces him to slow down and use his first skill to find targets. Once he's in haste, he then has to go off of what he can see and his awareness to chain targets, allowing you to outplay him by hiding. I think this is far more fair for survivors, and for both sides, encourages a dynamic encounter that goes beyond trying not to be selected to die instantly.

I dont think maniacal haste should highlight survivors untill it ends, that way flashbangs actually do something, instead i think it should only highlight players for 2 seconds and then on kill highlight again for another 2 seconds, that way it still acts sort of the same without giving jeff too much information on where everyone is going. I mean he's an ambush type of monster, so giving him permanent wall hacks as long as he uses a mode that straight up makes him better at killing just means he's not really gonna be ambushing people and he's instead just gonna run around screaming as he chases the closest person to him. I know in this case that making him regain highlights on kill during Haste still basically has the same effect, but its way toned down and should be kept as the move is meant to extend after killing someone, so not giving highlights would kind of just waste that potential

As we see him he's incredibly powerful and just runs at people and slaughters them with no skill requirement and no real way to avoid or outplay it, even breaking his ankles and avoiding M1s, which is near impossible, would only really delay your death for a few moments, since his stamina is so strong and he's so quick. I think instead, his highlighting should be a part of his stalking, and while he's in his haste, he can't see highlights. This way he needs to pay attention to where people are and find people as he's chasing them. To make it a bit easier, you could give them a few seconds of highlight on kill for players within a smaller range, to punish people too close to him when he executes a target, encouraging players to scatter and hide to avoid becoming the next target.

Most of the video is him just chasing one after the other, they weren't cornered, he just ran up to them and hit them to death since he is just flat out faster. This isn't a situation like samsonite where you can reasonably avoid him if you play well and listen carefully. He's flat out faster than you and there's really nothing you can do if he's not miles away when he pops haste.

it kinda seems like jeff the killer is just a one to one replica of what would be WYST and Vita Mimic combined he has TWO copies of WYST's frenzy except better, instead of draining your stamina more it drains it less and for the rage it just increases your speed and stamina drain heavily because you just pressed the button and got in range of a player he has the exact same running speed as a normla player and he basically outstaminas, this feels like its going to be a very boring character since it just wins no matter what
