The barber stole this scene! hilarious! 😃
dawntina skinner
Yes he did lllololol
DC Young Fly is a fool
dawntina skinner is that who i think it is
Was chris tucker his barber though?
Dc
The fact that both of them came from Social media as comedians and really doing movies now is amazing, I'm proud of both of these black men, both have come so far 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Bobby Brown bring that head here boy!!!
D.W. 😂😂😂😂😂 lmao
DAVZ 😂😂😂😂

DADA The MONSTER Lmao
A mistake that took the Black community by storm. Legendary.
Foe Real... I know I had the Gumbie
Yes
Just like public enemy’s don’t believe the hype was actually a mistake on the breakbeat but ended up becoming a classic
Right. I ended up getting it too. But it was called something … and no one said it was Bobby Brown. Think it was a cartoon or something. Pretty sure the hairstyle was based on the cartoon. Islanders had it before Bobby. Pretty sure Shabba Ranks had it in the last 80s.
ciana baltimore Nobody in my family smoked crack, but there were a few Gumbys.
0:52 "ohhhhh shit" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
crazii_creole 3 HAHA
😂😂😂😂
crazii_creole 3 The sound of him turning off the razor makes it even funnier😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

mcshang482 Don't forget the "Damn" as he stared at them and went across his head with the clippers. LOL
0:53 his face is priceless dcyoungfly funny asl
This was the most funniest scene ever😭😭😭😂😂, and then they put on the video to every little step😭😭😂😂stop it, stop it. All these years guys was rocking the gumby hair style because of a mistake. ...... Bobby brown said ..... I look 🖱👀 like gumby. 😂😂😭😭... I'm about to watch the video Every Little step again, I need a good laugh 😂😂😭😭

DC Young Fly is alot like Chris Tucker with comedy
When he said "i can fix it bobby" he sounded just like chris
So happy seeing DC doing what he does best. Comedic Gold! Sending best wishes for you from Georgia.
BET, what in the world is a gummy? I think you mean GUMBY! Update your tagline.
chany85 he did say gumby an I believe BET know what they talkin lol
chany85 He's and African American character that was famous back in the 1920's and 1930's
Gumby was not black. Eddie Murphy who is black made fun of the Gumby character on SNL skits. Gumby is a green piece of clay lol!
Lol I was about to say...since when was Gumby black lol
lol!!! A case of history being green-washed lol!
Woody McClain is soooo fine
popcookie10
Omg I just realized the barber was DC young fly 😆
That mistake caught on when his barber did it. When I tried to cut my hair, my mother spit her food out laughing when I walked in the kitchen.
DC has totally ripped off Chris Tucker.
No he didn't. Two totally different styles. DC has this manic and quick-witted style that differs from what Chris does or did. You always coming on these UA-cam pages trying to down niggas that's trying to come up or be something. You aint no better than these troll ass and racist white boys on UA-cam.
TheDopestEthiopian1 That voice and that "act" are his natural style but you wouldn't know cuz you'd rather hate on niggas being successful.
No one is hating on anyone. I gave my opinion. If you don't see Chris Tucker's comedic genius being used by DC then that's your problem.
***** DC has a completely different style than Chris Tucker. Watch the 85 South Show podcast and you'll see it. Only similarities they have is the voice and they both from Atlanta.
This DC guy is wack. Its like he watched Friday and Money Talks 1000 times in a row and practiced for months how to be Chris Tucker. Everyone sees this shit. He about 20 years too early coping Chris Tucker.
Nobody gonna talk about the way Bobby said hey?😂😂😂
I don't believe this happened they just wanted to add some comic relief to the movie
That's a good point. But me or you wasn't adults or around Bob in 1988 so we both aint got idea if this went down or not.
Marquies Simmons I was 21 in 1988 and when I saw the original video back then I wondered why he had his haircut that way..lol. But in the making of the movie they did say that each character was stuck like each member to know ehat happened when it happened and why it happened. So it could very well be true how his hair ended up that way. I do remember that Bobby was a bad boy though. He was ALWAYS the member that stood out..
CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD AND DESUS & MERO. no u wasent a adult but I remember every body having this cut the slope the big daddy kae ad may other funky styles
It's in Bobby's book. It did happen.
This actually happened and became a trend back then, this wasn’t just for comic relief
Lmmfao 🤣🤣 come here every once in a while 😂😂
Isnt that DC Young Fly he making mistakes on WILD N OUT Now on this man he's FUNNY🤣🤣
omg I laughed til I choked when I saw this scene. Even the sound the clippers made had me in tears.
Its crazy how this mistake turned into something amazing and worldwide
DC Young Fly is the funniest man I ever saw in my life
The Gumby, The Shaft. For da culture doe ✊🏽🤣
This was the funniest shyt in the whole bio LOL
They took this scene out of the movie. Every little step is a concert scene now
omg as soon as I saw DC on the screen🤣🤣🤣🤣
The barber who went on tour with boby was is located in Cleveland.. I use to get my haircut there.
_I can't sleep at night, I toss and turn_
_Wonderin' what the hell went wrong_
_Now people will laugh about my 'do_
_Every time they hear this song..._
Omfg this comment is so underrated 🤣💀

MAN YOU GOT ME LOOKIN LIKE GUMBY!
In Atlanta it was the low left high right
Cane was about to smoke DC 😂
I knew once I seen that fool this scene was gonna be a classic🤣🤣
even the one shaved side that pepper had was a mistake but it became a trend
They Pick The Perfect Person for this Scene :P LMAO
1:05 I crieeedd😂😂
“Ohhhhh shit”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've always wondered how that haircut came to be. I wore it at 12.
Naw I believe they made this story up....Smooth B from the group Nice and Smooth said in a Interview that it was his idea to give Bobby that haircut. Smooth B used to tour with Bobby Brown and also Write Rhymes for Bobby.
Funniest mess ever!! Everybody thats ever cut hair has done that at least once😂😂😂
lmfao . man , dc so damn funny !
thats where lil fizz got his inspiration from when he was on love and hip hop
This my fav part
That hair cut been out b4 Bobby's song
What you do? Nuthin.. lol
@BETNETWorks there is a typo in video description. "Gummy".
That can be a juice box fade
So that infamous haircut was an accident!?
The Gumby, thats what we called it
all these years i knew that shit!! lol
That looks like the juice box fade
I know Bobby was messed up sometimes but then they didn't kick out Mike
When is this coming out on DVD though?
im kmsl i figured it was
1:04
Boloney! Are they seriously trying to claim that Bobby (or his barber) invented the Gumby Hi-top fade ???
I laugh so hard
DC man is doing it big. Woody just _killed_ this role!!! 💯💯💯💯
David Richardson IKR DC is the next breakout from #WILDNOUT
May Flower I"x
anizyasilas83 Exactly he is going to go far in this business
David Richardson yes dc now opens up chris browns shows
David Richardson it s Dc young fiy not Dc man
It's the slope and it made history everybody had that haircut.
It's called a gumby where i'm from
John Shaft lmao 😂
Ashley Mitchell right

Raheem Cosby right
Nice to see DC Young Fly getting roles
John D IKR he's becoming the next break out from #WILDNOUT
John D IKR he's becoming the next break out from #WILDNOUT
John D why they put him in every movie
+Chasity Brown because he's a break out actor and people like seeing him, a fresh face other then Kevin hart
John D yh daz true
this has me cracking up. Home boy playing Bobby Brown did very well. Didn't know that this hair cut was a mistake. the Gumby 🤗
wrong. I had it back in 1991 when I graduated from highschool. It was from a CARTOON. I don't recall anyone saying that it came from Bobby Brown (though he also had it). Y'all African Americans believe ANYTHING you see on UA-cam of social media, as long as it associated with "black". Getting kinda silly. You people have no idea how many styles and dance moves were STOLEN from Islanders.
Dreadlocks.
Earthtone clothes
Dance moves
etc
I mean, even your "twerking". Shabba's "trailer load of girls" music video introduced that slackness to the African American audience. This stuff aint new!
@@DonCornelius366 bruh this happened to Bobby in 89'
Obamaman he really thought he set the trend 💀

Thats an awesome mistake because it's as iconic as Michael Jacksons curls.

Or when mj had his short hair in 1995 because he accidentally burned it off with the(hair ironer?)
@@redflower6020 oh it was a pepsi comercial and a firework had exploded to close to his head and the products he had wasnt flamable so he suffered 3rd degree bruns and thats how his whole drug thing started
No
i laughed hard when i saw this. so this hairstyle was an accident lol. that was an awesome accident.
it was an amazing accident lol

@@jamelgallagher6602 possible. Everything is hazy now (and not important) in 2019. I just know it wasn't a "bobby brown" thing.

I was 16 in 1991! Gumby hairstyles are an antiquated as the box. If that's still important to YOU, then that's YOUR business, not mine.
I remember when everybody had this haircut, LOL
stylecollective it's back now
Old ass

I believe it was called the Gumby. I believe that was the story behind pepa slant hair cut back in the day. I believe she had a perm incident.
😂 it was more so the sound effect that had me in tears when he sliced his shit😃
Mdot Adot Yes just like in BARBER SHOP..lmbo
Barber: Oh shit
Bobby: man what you do
Barber: nothing I can fix it
Lol
And his facial expressions...😂😂😂
I had that haircut back in tha day damn I'm old lol
Naw, yo ass just fortunate that you got to see a period in time when Black entertainment was top notch unlike today. Shit, it's good to be old and remember a time when music, movies, and TV was top notch and classic.
Lamont McDaniels that period in time was awesome. unlike today. im a 60s baby.
+CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD AND DESUS & MERO. Exactly. I wouldn't want to be young now. The thirstiness and tricking, wack music putting women on a pedestal. lol what happened?!
Notorious Nas young man if you could just read the comment that mooky posted right below ur cursing comment to me.. you will see what I'm saying.
And to CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD AND DESUS & MERO. yes back then the music was great entertainment...im so proud to have lived in that era.
That mistake became the haircut trend of that decade! :) Great actor!

@@DonCornelius366 chill.. this was in the late 80s and thats when this hairstyle was popular in America lol by bobby being a big star and "the accident haircut" made it trend in the America even more
We didnt steal anything for one, many islanders were slaves and it continued then again lets not play like African American ideas and creativity hasnt influenced the world as well in music and style
People love to down African Americans like we dont contribute or aren't creators as well smh
@@DonCornelius366 This happened in the 80s, why you keep bringing up 1991?
@@Tha90sKid I graduated from highschool in 1991. I was a New Edition fan throughout highschool.. I LIVED through what many people in these comments only talk about. I lived through the splits, the solo album, the adding of Johnny Gill, the boring album of Ralph T, etc.
I also HAD the haircut. My highschool prom photo is proof of it. But, there was also SHABBA RANKS.
I'm a British Islander. We also listen to reggae. Shabba made the hairstyle popular in the Islands and in many UK territories, not Bobby Brown. Americans, clearly, do not understand or know this. This hairstyle can be seen on his 1992 album, "X-rated" He had it before then.
That's why 91 is the "baseline"
0:53 That "Oh sh*t" was priceless LMFAO
Woody is SO fine!! He played the hell out of Bobby!
Yea he kills it also in that bobby brown story these cats did these movies right for real
Who you working for, New Edition or Bobby?
LMFAO
DC young fly making moves🙏👌
I depends how old are you your not old old is like if you were 90 years old
i need to hear Bobby talk about this. Can't believe it was a mistake
DC Young Fly! Love him. Dude is a damn fool! LOL
This part was the funniest part of the movie. And take this from someone who watched EVERY frame of this film for three days straight. I did not know this is how Bob got that Gumby haircut in that 1988 period.
Exactly...lol....a mistake became a whole style...lol
I swear I rocked that Bobby Brown hairstyle for years. I never knew it was a mistake. I'd thought he was just a genius for rocking it back then.....😊
I'm so dead! 😂😂 loved his face when he say "oh shit, I can fix that, I can fix that!"
😂😂😂😂😂
The actor who portrayed Bobby was hillarious. They all acted well but I love the younger actors the most.
this had me cthu in tears
Me too! 😂
Me too! 😂
Too comical!!
When I tell you I was hollering when I saw this lmao!!!
you not the only one
The way he said shit at 0:52😂😂
Keke Manson "Ooooouuu shit...nothin!?" 😂😂
I read about that in his book. He was rockin' that gumby on 227 back in the day, too, when he went out with Brenda.
Oh yeah. He did one of his singles from the Don't Be Cruel album on that episode. I think 227 bought Bob on there for ratings because that was around the time 227 was near cancelation. Bob was hotter than a Carolina Reaper hot pepper in 1989 and 227 knew that shit.
That's was another actor who played Regina King's boyfriend in 227. Not Bobby Brown but they do favor.
Kory Green so it actually was a mistake?
Neemah Suhni You talking about Calvin, the dude she was crushing on. Bobby Brown did make a cameo appearance on there, right after Don't Be Cruel dropped. He came to her apartment and everything. It's been a long time since I've seen the episode.
Ok, let me check my archives....thanks for the update
DC is also going to be in the new BET series the Quad
May Flower hell ya got the series already record lol
