So glad I found you guys, I’d love to come over and join you for a day! 😊😊😊 2024 I think we can make it to the island :) I’d love to go for a hike with you amazing gems!
Cool find!! How awesome to be in a country that has such vast mineral and gemstone deposits. Here in New Zealand, we seem to be really lacking in awesome rocks. We have alot of gold and quartz and Greenstone. You would think in a country with such an explosive volcanic history, there would be alot more cool mineral formations.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I haven't been to New Zealand but sure would like to. I know Pioneer Pauly loved it down there and raved about the gold. We are certainly lucky to have such nice rock here. Take care!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment! It is quite amazing to find such wonderful rocks like this. The Monster Thundereggs are incredible - they are like little or not so little critters!
Excellent video. I immediately subscribed and liked👍Now I have to watch part 1. Keep calling it pumpernickel, Jack. That's funny. Thanks for making these videos.
Hello Thanks so much for watching, liking, commenting, AND subscribing! We really appreciate that. She wants to start hitting me with a loaf of pumpernickel every time I say it so I have to be careful! Thanks again.
Wow thanks! That is one of the kindest comments we have had! Really appreciate your support! We are lucky to be able to find some really nice rocks, some types of which no-one has ever seen before.
OMG your finds are amazing. I have never seen anything so beautiful 👍 They are so large also ! Just absolutely stunning material ! Thanks much for sharing with us😊
Thanks so much for watching and your great comments! We really appreciate you doing this. We are very lucky to find such amazing earth treasures and we love doing it and love to share the experience.
Blue jasper, didnt no there was such a thing! Wot a beautiful stone, was great watching your video & enjoyed seeing your collection of huge thunder eggs as much as you both enjoyed showing them. Love to have a carve of sum of that stone, bet the colour is more vibrant once polished.
Thanks for watching and Commenting Jane! We really appreciate that. We really do enjoy doing all of this and are very lucky to be able to find such amazing stone. Would love to get you a piece of this hopefully soon!
Hello, I just subscribed! I like your discovery. Great video, looking forward to watching more, so l hit the bell. God bless you! Your new friend and fan, Kevin
Hi Kevin Thanks so much for watching, commenting, and subscribing!! We really appreciate that. Thanks for your positive review of the video - they are a lot of work but also a lot of fun to make. We will have another one out hopefully this weekend with Pioneer Pauly at our rhodonite mine and it should be great fun to watch!
@@kevinjakovec3783 He is awesome and we had a wonderful time. He has a true passion for rocks and is a lot of fun. The video should be fun to watch thanks!
Really cool place! Wow they are such unique thundereggs! I just found a bunch of celadonite in a basalt flow recently, thats funny you mentioned that mineral. It really has a nice blue/green color. I love the bubbly outside and blue rhyolitic interior. Amazing spot!
Thanks Mitch! I haven't found anything in science about these - not this size. The celadonite does add a nice color - however I had an XRD analysis done on a piece of the thunderegg and it is simply blue feldspar!
@whittlesstonegeologicaltre2392 makes sense. The celadonite is almost always a blue/green color and these eggs just dont have that color, they're more of a steely blue. Super cool discovery 😎 that's what it's all about.... exploring and having a good time
I have no idea what they are but they sure are cool! I’m in Missouri so I’m more of a sedimentary guy. Definitely thunder eggs of some sort I would say but beyond that I don’t know. I’ve found some really bizarre geode nodules in Missouri. I’d be interested to here your opinion if any. I’m actually working on a video from that spot right now, should be up Friday or Saturday. I’ve done a few videos there
Hello Thanks for taking the time to watch our video and comment - we really appreciate that. Thanks for your insights as well - we are interested in watching your videos as well to compare thanks. It is always fun to find something new in geology and try to figure out what it is - such a thrill! Thanks again.
Hi Carl Thanks for watching and commenting! We apologize but are not quite set up for sales yet. We will do our best to get that going and appreciate the nudge! If you would like please email us at whittlesstone@shaw.ca and we can talk from there. Thanks again!
I absolutely love what you have done with the finds or maybe it was good old Mother Nature. I love the stone. I do have angelight and love the soft colors. I keep it in a jar with my other more fragil stone specimens and at some point would like to add some of your new find.
Thanks so much! It is wonderful how much you appreciate the stones. We will get organized enough to get some of this out to market hopefully sooner than later. We will let you know and would love to get a piece to you.
This region is a paradise for me who love stone. America, New Mexico and Brazil, but alas, all this is just a dream because I am an Iranian and Iran is a hell on earth.😍😍😍💎💎💎🌈🌈🌈👑👑👑🌟🌟🌟❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥💜💜💙💙💙🖤🖤🖤✌✌👍👍😔😔🥺🥺🥺💔💔💔🙋♂️🙋♂️
How does one get a thumb-sized piece of blue jasper from your team? (And why didn’t you drain the puddle?) Great helmet light btw. And camera light! And you did it solo??? To a new site? Would you trade for thumb-sized smoky quartz from a mid-60’s highway cut in Nova Scotia?
Hello. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I never though to drain the puddle - was in a hurry to get done so just lay in it.....sigh. Yes, it was solo - somewhat crazy I know. We will have some material for sale hopefully soon on our web page. Also, we just posted a contest and we could certainly put some blue bubbly jasper as a prize. A trade is also possible for sure - please email us at whittlesstone@shaw.ca. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to watch and for your comments! As far as we are aware, there are no copper minerals within this deposit. A lot of the coloration in the region is greenish, likely due to celadonite. Sounds like you know how much work these videos are! Thanks - it is a labor of love.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Yes, I could have done more in terms of a trench. But I was really uncomfortable digging under the cliff like that and just wanted to get out!
Great video!!

Really cool rocks. I liked the Zebra stone too. It would make some cool cabs. Great video, I really enjoyed watching it. Keep up the good work.

Rocks, for us rockhounders, are extensions of our personality’s. Just like seashells. ❤️❤️
