There was a hole in one of the stern ladder steps. I bet that fish-cleaning attachment plugs in there.
OMAZE was a great addition to your channel. I gave a donation. As a veteran, I know it is a good cause... Thank you for the support.
I thought last boat was costly. Oh boy.
Save my seat on this Cap Q and Ran-Day.
Another winner! A lot of money, but a lot of Sailboat! And as always the Capt. did it justice!
Hands down the most Luxurious Yacht you've featured on this channel. That is a floating Penthouse that I'd imagine is as capable as she is beautiful. Were I to ever win the lottery one of these would be my forever home on the water. Just an amazing vessel and of course her pedigree is beyond reproach. If you ever want to know how the other half lives look at some of these truly high end Yachts from builders who know how to cater to your every need or want.
Thank you Captain and Randy for making me feel as if I was able to go aboard a Yacht I would never be able to set foot on other than at a boat show.
Fair winds, following seas, safe travels and God Bless...
Widening your range -what a beautiful ship! Always fascinating commentary along the way. Also, very good to see you connect with Omaze and a good cause! Dean
Cool to see my work on UA-cam. I built the solor power frame on the boat at Hinckley. Thanks for the video.
Oh my.. What a beaut! Looking forward to this luxurious episode. I hope this comment finds you two gents well safe and happy. All the best from a foggy damp cold UK. RD
Here's an idea for next sailing season...do some sailing videos where you can show us things like adjusting the stays, setting the spinnaker, etc.
Yes First! Love me some Capt Q thursday.
Certainly a beauty but for the price we could probably buy the top 10 boats you guys have shown us.
'Lot a boat " was just what I was thinking ....but they dont give those yachts away .might be out of my price range but I get to dream.....😙.
Wow! This is a mansion on the water gentlemen. Certainly well maintained. And the price is less than a home here on the West coast. Thank you gentlemen for showing this beauty.
I plan to visit the Bahamas gentlemen. Not put down a deposit on one! The banter between the two of you. Even the pregnant comedy pauses. Just keep getting better and better. Deepest gratitude from a very sunny, if increasingly chilly, North Coast of Northern Ireland.
Great boat and tour, as every time.
Lovely yacht with a great reputation. That said over 1 million Aussie dollars for a second hand boat has me thinking of what else I could get with that kind of spondoolies. Excellent review as always fellas
Beautify dream boat quietly protecting SeaDog from the ravages of Passage to the Bahamas. Sung as a bug in those sunlit compartments. My goodness what a beauty. Thanks again My Captain. Wish it could fit in a Christmas stocking nailed with care. ❤️❤️❤️
What a great name for the boat. Owners must be cool. Absolutely gorgeous boat, holy cow! Can't believe only draws 6 feet depth. Too bad we couldn't see a drone shot of her under way, that must be stunning, but I can imagine it:)
Watch Sailing Zingaro and you will pretty much see a Oyster in all sea conditions, he's getting ready to go to Antarctica with it.
Best boat yet by far. Almost perfect? The price reflects that
Tks Capt Q-not quite the go small go now mentality. Beautiful boats. A little to much draft for Jersey Bays. Love my O'Day 26!
OH YOU jERSEY bOYS !! AND YOUR BAYS ...but enjoy your 26 ...everyman's yacht is his castle at sea
Very nice and excellent video as always. Definitely not a solo sailor.
You guys are wonderful and I’m going to miss Captain Q.
Once again, way out of my price range, but one can always dream. Very nice boat. A little too modern for my tastes but I'm sure there are folks that will love it. Also, pretty new for the Captain. Heck, I've got shoes older than that boat. Not knocking the boat it is lovely but just not my style. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
WOW, highest rating I've seen before was 42. This was to the moon!
Cruising in style. Cheers to you.
Great video y’all. Wonderful boat a person could travel around the world with. Thank you. I hope y’all had a nice Thanksgiving.
we hope you can find your dream whether around the world or around the harbor
Agreed, great boat, but a lot of complicated systems that will not easily be fixed in remote areas. I also think, given the way it's laid out and rigged, you'd really need 4 to manage this thing safely off-shore on long passages. No doubt this boat could safely move around the globe, multiple times. The YT's Sailing Florence have been circumnavigating for the past 6(?) years in a much smaller Oyster (like a 37' i think), and the things are bomb proof. That said, if I had 500,000-700,000 to drop on a boat, I do believe there are other options out there I would prefer. I do love the variety of boats these guys feature, as over the history of their channel, there is practically a boat for every purpose, person and budget. Extremely well thought out boat finds.
The maintenance costs alone on this beautiful Oyster would cover the cost purchasing a smaller boat.
Oh boy yacht yacht territory!! So much I love. I'm not in love with the interior wood but like the light and airy. I think the description of modern but traditional is spot on. I personally loved the old school MOB pole but disappointed not attached to horseshoe and strobe. I watched a inflatable MOM system fall in lake Michigan at the dock and only thing that went off was sea dye marker, made me rethink things(clearly not serviced properly). You better get back to something like a Pearson 422 or the UA-cam whinners will start up😉
Capt.Q gets an extra 10 pts for pronouncing Saloon correctly. Brilllllliant as always - thanks for sharing 👍
Hopefully the beer was cold + 2 pts
not allowed to test but im sure it was but even if it wasn't it would taste great in that cockpit
That’s a beautiful boat. You’ve done a Little Harbor and an Oyster! Two of my favorites!
Little over the top with prices. Stay upright Captain!!
What a fabulous boat!
Very nice job. I'm trying to figure out how to day trade from this boat.. love the idea. I need solid internet connection. As far as batteries the primary batteries can be down low but A Must .. is to have a 100% 2nd set of batteries that pump out h2o of the primary batteries.
I have a lottery ticket for tomorrow’s draw. If those numbers come up I’ll see you guys next Tuesday. 😂
Great Segway from your usual type of boats.
❤
Wow! What a beautiful boat. If only I could retire today I would buy and sail off into the sunset.
I own a 1988 Oyster 53 HP (same hull as the 56) and it’s a fantastic boat
Wow, nice boat or should I say yacht. Good video as well, thank you.
Beautiful boat. Not at a price point for the average shopper but for a newly retired empty nester with a paid off house I can see selling the house and buying a boat like this.
Nice boat , great video as usual Captain. Great you are showing boats in all price brackets. This one ? Opening ports in the hull, forward of the beam , and a bolt on keel , hmmmm. Much prefer the Little Harbor you reviewed last week.
You had to really dig to find any head room that might get tight. Oh my gosh, the ceilings were tall! Very nice, but seemed to lack a certain quality last weeks boat had (even though this one had more wood.... :^) ).
Nice sweater captain 👌.
This is strictly Cap’n Q money …… she’s a beaut!!!!
Captain, if I could afford this one, I would hire you and Ran-day to take me wherever I desire! I'm just dreaming. Great video, as always.
So much to unpack here. Firstly I love you guys for the Woodruff promo. I will be checking out the website momentarily. Second , when I die and , hopefully, go to heaven, This is not my boat. I am so underqualified I would have to Shanghai CaptainQ and Ran Day to sail her for me for at least a year before I got the hang of a boat that size. I really do think that at some point you should be a professional captain to sail one of these. I might get by with a Tanzer 28 but beyond that I am a babe in the proverbial woods. I did win the Powerball but sadly they insist on having all the other numbers as well. There is no pleasing some people. I will be budgeting you in to the 2023 Patreon must haves though so I can win a Captain Q sea dog. Finally Ran Day you are stalling. We want to see you both on your own boat sailing the 7 seas. Next week a Hans Christian. What? I can dream. Toodles guys and thanks so much for all you do.
we appreciate all your concerns and dreams but there are only two of us and not getting younger and our reources are limited and it actually tried to snow on me today yikes
It’s been awhile since I’ve watched one of your videos and what a boat to come back to! This would be the boat (yacht?) that I could comfortably sail around the world on….now I just need to win Powerball.
I’ll just say it. I don’t like this boat. If I had the money I wouldn’t prefer this one. Those windows all around and all the side windows that might not seal or somebody forgets to close. The horrible light wood. All the fancy automated thingies that will break down. The shallow draft. The tvs. The too tight nav station. No berth for night crossings near steering. No charm. I do appreciate Captain showing the boat. How else to make comparisons? Oh and the placement of batteries. Thanks for pointing out the compromises that have been made with this boat.
I've always admired Oysters for the non-claustrophobic saloons with all that glass, but had to wait for Captain Q's approval (and a winning ticket) before trading up from my Sunfish....
Very beautiful outside, too modern for me inside and of course too expensive for me !! 😉
Where to invest your money? Stocks and bonds aren't even paper anymore so, they can do most anything. Bank interest is far below the inflation rate so you're guaranteed to lose buying power. Real estate, location, location, location and what if you pick the wrong location. Buy a big, ole sailboat and you have real estate with optional locations plus, you can be where in the world treats you best without changing residences. Capt Q is thinking all the time.
you found it Captain Q!!!! Unfortunately I'm broke refitting my Swan 47....instigated by you...they are a beautiful boat. Im destroying the computer before my wife sees this.
hahahahaha so sorrry
( Love to do an episode on your 47 when you make up your mind)
@@YachtHunters I’ve been working on her for a year and a half now. A huge project. Keel, rudder, mast step on and on. But when done…priceless her name is Ariel. She has a great history and a bright future.
How I wish I had LOTS of money! (drool)
I'm gonna bet they used maple instead of birch or beech. Maple is much more stable and dense. 🤙
A beauty for sure. Can’t wait til Randy polishes his to this quality! Out of curiosity how much would a similar new version of this yacht cost?
dont know exactly but a Moody 41 was quoted to me by a visitor at the Newport show , was $760,000.00 !!!!! SO GO FIGURE
Bit out of my price ramge Captain, glorious yacht though. Better keep playing lotto.
hahaha i wonder how much the lotto has grown from our 11 million viewers buying lotto tickets
I need a go fund me would love to sail an oyster until then are westerly will have to do. Good video
I can’t watch. I’ll cry.
thats ok we got a little newer and more $ than usual but it was readily available and there are some viewers who are read to pack it all in and go for broke,,,,so here's a choice
Ehhh I will pass probably couldn't afford the internet monthly bill...LOL
Nice boat but a little rich for me , I'll hold on to my moody422 for now.
and you will be happier for it...but its like visiting another state/country/ island and realizing how lucky you are to have your home to rely on
Hey ! Wait a minute! This boat is ~. Off Limits ~. for you guys. No no no ! Not fair. I thought you were keeping up with the $100,000 rule. Oh well. ~. Just imagine.
Was that Goose neck cracked? Looking at 14:55 it looks like a crack coming down the underside of the boom.
This episode was mailed in . . . .
@@YachtHunters Okay, I rewatched the episode and I was tad harsh. I am a very early subscriber, and have watch almost every episode, so I can tell when CaptainQ and Ran-day are inspired. For example, this ship did not motivate many asides, or interesting trivia, or even much need for definitions to be posted because CaptainQ was not using colorful jargon. Plus, the price was not really put into context or justified. Really, WHY was this boat worth 5-6x as much as most of the others?
That looks more like a stern loveseat it’s so big that price point is in a whole different ZIP Code
So does CQ sell his Laser to make the down payment, or hang it from those davits?
Wait! Pause please! What was that next to you when you were scoring the Oyster? The Oyster is cool, but what was that pretty thing?
Looks to me like a captain cabin in the forepeak, crew of two sharing the next cabin aft and then the owner's cabin. Nice setup but nearly $1 mil and only one mast? Ketch you later! 😎
Glorious design for blue water…it’s the little details that just aren’t on todays bleach bottle boats….
Wow!
I’d only have to sell my house. And my son’s house, his wife’s family’s house, my two brothers house’s, and borrow a little from my sister.
Well built but dated vessel. Find myself wondering who has this kind of money that wants an almost 20 year old boat which is not particularly well suited for a couple to handle with a shoal draft bolt on keel and a huge spar & sails. Great for hanging out in the Bahamas but $$$$$$$!
replacement would be more than double that might be worth it to someone but not everyone can afford almost two million right ? so this is a deal with a few flaws and minor shortcomings
I've spent some time on this dock. The cockpit canvas on this boat is in rough shape, and the teak decks are absolutely thrashed, terribly maintained, aggressive scrubbing with the grain with stiff brushes.
Thank you Drew ...i imagine that might not bother everyone though..... especially while having cocktails in the Virgins
@@YachtHunters Absolutely, to each their own. But it's not something that can be resolved, even by sanding. There is so much deep pitting, it is probably pretty uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. A very expensive thing to replace.
My dream
ok wakeup!!! buy a lotto or ask for a raise or sell the house and family wagon
Curious. When entering a harbor I think it is "red right returning... Green left leaving" why is the red suspender on the left? This is messing with my Dyslexia.
If I had a spare million laying around I would think very hard about this boat 😂
so what is there to think about .....youstill have almost qtr million left to provision with food and friends
Any chance they’ll take $79,000 for that old kinda crummyish boat? I promise I’ll take good care of it!! Ran-Dey I’m willing to go 50/50 with you on it.
OK, I'll admit it. I have "Champagne taste" BUT a Red, White & Blue beer budget. FYI, it was 1971 when Oyster started. I really don't love the modern Oysters, as they look more like lavish hotel rooms & everything is square? There is nothing square on a boat, right?
Where’d CQ get the sweater???
Aran. Ireland Tell them CQ sent you
They don’t know about us probably. Nice if they did
The diehard Airstream owners refer to all other RV brand owners as SOB's: Some Other Brand.
Gosh ! Another big tease which last miserable Lotto win wouldn't pay for my special bottle or can of tucker.....so sad.
Reminds me of IKEA
@@YachtHunters To be fair, I don't know what could possibly follow that Little Harbor
I love Oysters. This one seems to need a little TLC, especially if it is for sale. See what I did there? ;)
Little confused. Prior episode you did not like Ted Hood' s fore and aft head. Now you like fore and aft head.
Way above my pay grade.
Clouds are not in the contract!
@@YachtHunters He Finally got a pillow but nobody mentioned clouds...until now....27:55 Q is a master negotiator!
Just $775,000 more than I can afford without my wife getting really mad at me.
Hopefully didn't have 16 through hulls like Zingaros'!! 😬😬😬😬😬 That is not cruiser friendly!!
At this point, why would Dinty Moore even pay to advertise on these videos, when they’re getting free advertising?
Omaze does just as much good for humanity as powerball....im really disappointed you took money from them
it's crazy to think i've watched 120 episodes and learned a ton along the way.
only a ton? guess i have to step it up
