it did, I saw it go up for a split second. I think it’s something to do with heal spells having a hitbox? (they damage revenants so it would make sense)
@@KidCypherTV They have a hitbox to detect anything that should be affected by it, including players to heal them. Hilariously, the pillars (illusory walls too) check for ANY player-created hitbox.

I've gotten further into the video and the host at 9:30 is even funnier, needing a demonstration on how to heal haha
the host going into sneak mode at 2:50 is also funny. It's so adorable when hosts crouch walk to be stealthy as if the invader is an NPC who's tracking them based on footstep noises. All in all, a hilarious group of hosts today.
I think that guy at 9:30 was trying to honor fight so he didn't want to heal.

The two getting roasted at 3:58 is a meme. The host didn't intentionally raise the pillar. The shockwave from golden land raised it. LOL.
It was a heal spell, which was even funnier.

If you want something absolutely terrifying, do blood Godskin Peeler with barbaric Roar. Hitting anyone with the running r2 locks them in a situation where if you immediately hit the barbaric roar R2, if they dodge the first hit, they will instantly be roll caught with the second hit, true comboing into the last, usually procking blood loss in a single combo. Stacks with millicents, Rotten winged sword, roar talisman, lord of bloods exultation, and Highland axe in the offhand in the offhand. Usually one shots. Truly terrifying.

The most terrifying thing about Elden Stars is that you can use St Trina's Torch on the same build
You should carry Margit/Mogh's Shackle for catacombs invasions. The shackles have the unique property of triggering things that don't need "damage" to activate from an extremely long range away. As a host, you can use it to reveal fog walls while exploring, but as an invader, you can use the shackles to trigger the flame-spewing pillars that are commonly found in the catacombs.
For example, at 3:16 you could have popped the shackle while they approached you, the flame pillar would have rose back up, and blasted them with fire from behind. Makes for some very satisfying bait-and-switch plays.

This was similar to a setup I recently played through the game with! This build also has my personal record of beating Malenia in the least amount of tries (6 attempts)

So... you can chain combo heavy and light on the dismounter, and with enough poise, you can just trade.
Cu Chulainn, whom you invaded twice, is using the name of the legendary Irish warrior from the Ulster Mythological Cycle. Read up on him if you want to read some really crazy stuff.
You should try the caestus with braggarts roar, it has a really good charge attack with the buff almost always leading to a guard break, and bleeds very quickly
9:56 I think the host was tryna show honor by not healing in a 1v1 situation, after the Phantom died.
I do the same when I’m invaded while solo and won’t heal unless the invader do so first.
I love using Barbaric Roar on the Raptor Talons. Absolutely shreds (especially when infused with Blood Flame).
