+Paweł Paweł There are huge differences, mostly because of the difference in rule sets. Some positions that are very important in sport BJJ like playing open guard against a standing opponent don't really occur in Judo due to the rules about restarts. In addition, BJJ has a much more diverse submission game from the top because you cannot finish by pin. In the same way, Judo guys will 99.99% of the time have much better standing grappling skills than BJJ competitors, because even though BJJ guys learn throws they usually don't practice them that often and aren't that good at them. Judo groundwork emphasizes pins and fast attacks, BJJ emphasizes positional dominance ending in submission from a superior position. @@jedijudoka no he wouldn't
@@kalikaputra well there’s some be way to find out!
@@donnycage no offense, but I suspect that you may lack the understanding or appreciation for just how quickly Olympic level judokas land their submissions during transitions from standing to the floor via throws or trips
Jimmy Pedro definitely causes some trouble to Marcelo.
Yes he definitely defended the whole time hahah
Why is Jimmy Pedro a Judo coach, not a Judo Sensei?
marcelo was just toying with him, but this is not Jimmy's element here. Although he could probably get escape from the ground if he wanted to
aye i could still tell pedro is a beast tho lol, hes a problem
jimmy has no chill
i highly dought mr garcia goes easy on anyone, its against his code. And mr pedro is a wolrd class olympic level compedator. there are submissions in judo.
Jimmy Pedro is a bad man, and Marcelo had him all tied up in seconds. Wow.
why does everyone think Marcelo mop the floor with this guy? he gave his back on purpose the first roll the second roll it was a tie
fuck off we all saw what garcia is capable of and he can ragdoll pedro
@@canonisensys1653 He can rag doll pedro? lol, Do you know what kind of friggin beast Jimmy is? He won multiple bronze medals in the olympics! Get em on their feet and see who gets ragged.
@@ClayMationNation pedro will slam marcelo for sure but he will get choked out in the end do you know who marcelo is
@@canonisensys1653 Of course I know who Marcel is, do YOU know who Pedro is? The guy's not just some random Judoka with a black belt, he's Olympic level and they don't play. Why do you think Royce and Hidehiko Yoshida fought to a draw?
@@ClayMationNation he aint shit in the judo world just one time champ by luck he no nomura or inoue or something he aint SHIT
Judo newaza nit allowed to stand thats one huge difference.
Jimmy>
Pedro's Ippon for uragatame. End of fight.
Jimmy rolled like he was fighting for his life Hahhaha like an white belt
Why do you say that? How many BJJ black belts do you think would do better against a multiple time world champion?
It is obvious that Marcello is rolling light with Jimmy.
+Travis Gibson
It's not obvious to anybody who knows what's going on.
+profd65 It's funny but without the proper context and the whole video people tend to just make up stuff. Jimmy has been retired for over 10-years and was there as the Zebra mat rep without a gi. Jimmy was a good sport and got on the mat to train with him. They didn't show the stand up part of the workout but those who know what happens when wrestlers put a gi on against Judo players. The video also doesn't show all of the rolling but like I said it was just a workout..
+Stuart Ramos He´s wearing a judo gi, a mizuno and it´s not a new one. No need to make excuses for the guy, he´s a judo beast and a great grappler but Marcelo is on another level.
+interpreter911 it is not his gi but you would know that if you were there.
interpreter911 "Another level" You got to be kidding me. I also have a black belt in bjj and know how hard the sport is but to compare that to a double Olympic medalist not to mention world champion you really need to wake up. Millions of people practice Judo and 202 countries participate in the Olympics you can't compare how hard it is to medal in the Olympics. Yep I will agree Marcelo could be the best submission grappler but to say he's on another level is silly.
MArcelinho could not submit him.
