If this is the future for the 5 series, the one I currently own is the last one I'll buy. I don't like the boxy, heavy look, and I hate that video screen TV dash panel. Their designers seem to have "lost the rabbit in the woods" Most of the positive comments come from people who don't own a BMW. The purists and repeat buyers don't like what's happening lately.

Last time I owned an F10 M 5series, it was 2016 but man it was like a stunning girl… I think after 2018 they lost their sense of stunning design. I totally understand btw, because world is changing, design is getting modernized, and they want to compete with their opponents, but to me, they are loosing their brand.
@@rollydoucet8909 the monitor is catastofa . it's big but UI is so bad . for example do you really need 40 cm map? from side to side? but on the cockpit you have very small map... on top there is still a line from e60. with icons... do you really need to have clock in the corner? or rti signal? or radio? or very small user icon? UI is inconsistent coz they "extending" e60 style instead of create something really new and fresh.
I'll have to be financially stable in every sense before purchasing my first supercar. The best thing to do with your money is to invest rightly because that's the smart way to build Wealth enough to enjoy luxury living
The best advice that i learned from Manny Koshbin is don't buy a Super or Hyper car until you have 10 times the price of it in your Bank account, when you purchase a Super car you add a car to your garage but u add also maintenance and unexpected damages that can happen in future
I understand Manny advice but that's overkill. If most people did that - they would never own one. The 10-15% rule is enough - especially if you make even more with multiple streams of income. My investment properties pay for my exotics cars. It's many different things you can do to afford easily and responsibly. You don't need a million cash to afford a cheap 100k car, My first exotic was 100k put down 20k- financed 80k. Then traded up to more expensive cars. Now I have an Aventador, so it's not hard at all, Especially if you are making 20-25k plus a month with little to no debt with multiple streams and assets that produce income.
Awesome video! I absolutely love the very slow pans to allow us to see the entire side profile, front and rear of the car. So many reviewers rush through these perspectives or they are way too zoomed in and it does not allow enough time for the viewer to really take in all the angles as if viewing in person. Very well done ... and relaxing :)
It looks like a Volkswagen Passat from the back, like a Toyota Camry from the side, and like a Mitsubishi Lancer from the front. Only the badge and radiator grilles remained from the BMW. I understand that it's only a 520, but what kind of poor exhaust system is this? Why is there a huge Chinese smartphone instead of a dashboard? Why glue the nameplates ///M on the steering wheel for this misunderstanding? The car has lost almost all of its family features and the thread of development has gone the wrong way. As a BMW fan, I don't like anything here, there is no style that attracts the eye in any detail. 2 out of 10 just because it's still a BMW, but seriously 0 out of 10 and I wouldn't want a car of this formation for myself.

Call me old school, but BMW keeps losing me as customer. We just bought out a lease on our 440i, simply because there was no BMW model, that we would like. We plan to keep this car for 3 more years and then decide what to buy. As for now, BMW's dash mounted, tacked on entertainment center is a huge turn off. It may suggest luxury. But ultra high end cars all avoid it.

Call me old school as well; just brought out my LCI M5 Comp lease. I saw the new 5 series in person and the front looks like LEGOs. Also , the car is really tall to handle the large batteries since it shares the same platform as i5. The interior is just okay, like most modern cars they are over doing it with all the LED lights.
For me the best of all was E39, it is still looking better inside and outside from anything in market today. I drove a last generation 525 for 10 years and I didn't experience that feeling ever since from any other machine. They didn't just integrated tablets to new cars they just transform them into huge tablets and it sucks really.
I think it's safe to say most car interiors have come on leaps and bounds in the last decade whilst exteriors have almost regressed. I guess there's only so much you can do with a three-box design.

A lot of that has had to do with safety regulations too, there's only so much you can do with a flat snout in order to satisfy front pedestrian impact requirements. Long gone are the days of pointed noses and curved hoods
Same color as my old E39. The best colors I ever saw on a Five series was a champagne-like body color with a cream colored interior. Really stunning. Beautiful music, BTW. 👍
The 2023 G30 model was quite an achievement. A very modern car, yet very stylish. The only one within the whole German premium cars production which could be looked at without immediate eye cancer. Not so for that Hyundai.
Check engine light is only for the emission in BMW. It has nothing to do with an engine anymore unless it flashing like crazy on you! Any malfunctions will show up on the screen.
Well done, you really get a good sense even about the details of the car. That said, I used to be a huge BMW fan, owned two myself. But honestly: The exterior is getting worse with every new gen: no love, no attention for detail, no recognizable lines. It's like Mercedes in the 90s an 2000s...
No Fabric/Upholstery lining on the underside of the bonnet/hood??? Like seriously??? Honestly speaking, BMW is gradually losing the built quality that they are known for. At a glance, everything looks feeble and light weight.
Dark color saves the new 5 a little bit as the car will look smaller and the weird black part on the bumper will be hidden. For exhaust pipe I don’t understand why they’re hiding it. I mean it’s their mid range “sports” sedan, not the 7 series. Hope this is not the case for M sports version. Interior is a breakthrough overall, but it’s strange that the rear door panel doesn’t have the light strip like it is on the front door which not only looks inconsistent but also rarely seen on a high end sedan like this. It’s like they spent 90% of the time on the front cabin and the rear cabin is a design of the last minute.
I like the design. It clearly has the 5 series genes. It looks modern and daring. At the moment I have the F10... this would be a substantial upgrade... But if I had the money I would instantly buy the new 7. It looks agressive. Just like a weapon.
Every time a new 5 series comes out everyone hates it, then over time as they 'look back' on it it becomes 'classic' and what they prefer over the new one etc etc, and so it goes on. Just an observation ☺️
5:16 Love the color. Both the new BMW 5-Series and the MB E-Class have upped their game - interior and exterior. Glad to see BMW dropped the buck teeth grill and retained the excellent B58 3.0L in-line turbo six. It is an outstanding engine.

Thanks for the review! Door handles are cheap, side profile is dull and overall body shape is uninspiring. Interior is ok, but don’t like sensor controls. I’m driving a 535i xdrive F10 and prefer the silhouette and the interior controls of my car. Otherwise, BMW keeps innovating and moving forward and not everything they produce will be loved by all, but they keep putting out fine machines, kudos to them

I have been inside the all new 7 series and it is the best interior on the market with the best seats and ambience. It feels like you are in a high end hotel lounge. It is one step above the current s class in terms of comfort, quality, cabin space and ambience. The 5 series looks like a toned down version of the 7 but obviously not as good.
A car I fell in love with from the moment I drove it was the 2008 Lexus IS F. If you get a chance who ever reads this take it out for a test drive and maybe consider buying it for yourself.
Idk about that one the interior and exterior of the e class beats this and I’ve been a Beamer fan for the longest but I don’t like the designs of all the new bmws. The interior of this does look really good except for the screen not a fan of that.

Out of all the generations, they decided to recreate the E65 in a ciber punk way. The least favourite 5 combined with the buggiest game ever to reach the shelf and a 7 series butt that looks like crap. Good job bmw! Worst design ever to come out the BMW factories !
Everytime I see this or the i7 they look so good. I really like the length of the i7. Could be more sleeker and the trunk space should be pushed back for more leg room but anyways back to my slingshot..

Only the face looks interesting ( not necessarily more beautiful) compared to its predecessor. The rest of this new gen 5 are just forgettable.
