Try having a wide and high mid foot. I found only the 2E Brooks Cascadia fitted, but the upper wore through far too fast at the bending point (on successive pairs). Swapped to paying vastly more for Norda 001s and hoping they last vastly longer. Most shoes are simply too skinny for me.
DId they anyhow improve the ankle collar on Long Sky / SKyfire so not much debris is falling into the shoe? Such a small thing but a dealbreaker at the same time! Other than that I feel like MLT line from Merrell really doesn't get as much attention as it deserves.
If the shoe or boot is not wide toe box or high stack I don't even look at it anymore.
Wide toe box is why i'm stuck with HOKAS....
