    Voltage supply is important. Worked best with micro bit powered by USB from computer and not so well with 2AAA.

    Doesn't the microbit already have a thermometer? Why the tmp36 then?

      The thermometer on the microbit is in the ARM chip, with this setup you could have the thermometer on the end of a wire, away from the microbit, e.g. in a fridge/freezer, or outside a window. and as the microbit has more than one analog input, you could read multiple sensors to determine a temperature difference.
