Keep doing your thing bro! When you get a chance get a microphone so the audio is better. I love the editing and can appreciate all the research and work you put into it.

really interesting take with the perspective of videogames as an art form, really enjoyed the video
you should work on the editing and maybe fix the audio a bit but overall this is some good stuff

I mean yeah sure Ive been enjoying a lot of single player games recently and very old media by this point but if we talk on the way to preserve and enjoy some of these titles that are not for sale anymore unless you wanna track down some overpriced disk on ebay or something... I do partially disagree. Is it true that we have been consumed by multiplayer experiences and now everything has to be as a service and everlasting, long gone are the days whenever you played a game for around 20 hours beated it and moved on to the next one. We are slowly getting back to more streamlined experiences like this. Which is great but I do disagree as well in the realm of one SPECIFIC GAME that ruined my childhood without me knowing it.
Digimon World for the PS1 the European release. It came with a fatal bug that made the game unbeatable, unless you got a modified game from the internet or a disk from another region you could not finish the game. Period..... nowadays we suffer the bad side of this with a lot of incomplete games, but at the same time this would make sure that if this ever happens we will get a patch down the line.

I personally stick to switch, it may not be the most powerful but it gives you access to a bunch of good games, overall the video does have a bias towards older games, you do still have good modern games, marvel Ravels is great
thank you for the energy and your comment.
Hopefully you stick around for more videos

    Video Games Don't Need Internet
true (apart from the multiplayer section) but this is 2025 and everyone is happy to be scammed by things like game pass
just wait till they increase the prices like streaming and everyone starts to question the business model and the fact developers are now making less
and won't see as good work due to it just like half these rubbish netflix shows etc, will have rubbish games

good thing that older games will alway exist, there’s always access to the old classics
Thanks you for your energy, hopefully you’ll stick around for future videos

@@MannytheAuthor oh yea while i don't like unreasonable scalping/upselling atleast the value of physical and the fact you can backup alot of these rom/formats 🏴‍☠ will always have ways people starting to do it with movies and music again give it 5/10 years more people will have physical media again even if its not new prints/issues (also shops like gamestop and companies who brought all these dvds and bits are gonna make a big profit in the UK for example musicmagpie brought books, cds, dvds for like past 10 years and are now starting to sell it all over ebay etc)

This kinda makes think that in America the free market always has some level of choice.
I think if it gets too bad, the market is bound to correct itself
If the desire for old games is there, someone is always gonna be around to capitalize on
Thank you for your energy, let’s support indie games and make games better

@@MannytheAuthor true and to be honest if you could go deeper its not just "free market" its just part of us, as humans we have choice and when we don't we create choices and methods as a collective for the public good

Stopped watching when you said video games slowly worked their way upto home computers, this is an incorrect statement as video games have been on home computers since the inception of video games in the 1970’s. I know you’re new to making content and I can see the effort put into the editing. It’s an easy mistake to make. You sound quite young, keep at it man but just try to check your facts otherwise I can’t trust the rest of the video

While you have a point, PC gaming has been around and possibly predated dated consoles, this is more centered around people that come from a place where consoles were the norm.
I guess it would be more correct to say console gaming merged back with pc, If anything the video is more about the way games started being designed, and I guess it sounded better for the narrative
