Wow, it is great to hear Joe acknowledge the Pete Willis/Steve Clark era! That doesn't happen often.
I saw them on that first tour with Journey in 2006 at SPAC in NY. Saw them in 1988, 1992/93, 1995, 1999, 2004, 2006.
First saw def Leppard at Sheffield show back in 1978 in Hillsboro park Sheffield..knew immediately they had what it takes to hit the big time...and they sure did...with a few tragedies along the way...rock on chaps...

I saw them in concert a few years ago and it remains one of the best nights of my entire life.

Hysteria is played slow. On seven strings more can be heard. It's a good way to meet. Leppard has a top 5 songs with any guitarist or stringist,now we could meet of anything discussed.

Yeah - he's very coherent and speaks very well - great sense of humor too... Sounds alot more like a Beatle than the man who shouted 'Pourrrrr some sugarrrr on meeee!!!!' (which frankly sounds like the Beatles compared to today's manufactured i-pad drivel!)

There are definitely some songs that could be hits, but never got airplay. However all of us diehard fans that listen to all their music are very aware of these songs. There are plenty that are actually much better than ‘the hits’

Just saw them at Fenway last weekend, great show! Cheap Trick kicked ass, Def Leppard was the highlight of the evening. Journey, meh, not so much.

I'm not going to be there because I can't afford my usual seats I get for their concerts. I'm also not going to pay $150 for the worst seat in the house. Several people have told me it's the venues that are charging that amount & not the bands.
