Now I need to reconsider my previous plans for securing coax termination points, inside the shack, during inclamat weather.. Thank you for sharing your insights!
Yes, I as well. The Club's shack is fully covered as understand it. Here in the home shack, yeah, time to reconsider many things related to RF/AC..... Thanks for the comment!
Thank you for these videos. I cant believe that you just recently broke 1k subscribers. Should be alot more with all the great content you have on here. Thank you again.
Thank you for another great video! I have a feeling that you have already found this after using the equation you included within the video, but I located a helpful online article from the National Weather Service that states that you take the number of seconds (between the lightning and the sound of the thunder) and then divide by 5 to equal the distance of the lightning in miles. So 10 seconds is only 2 miles! That's a great reminder for all of us to be careful out there! 🌩😵😁 ~ 73 ~ AC7WH
Re: "Outta the Blue" Strikes, if your arm hair / head hair stands up for NO, 99% unexplainable, reason you could be experiencing the forecasting of an "Outta the Blue!" The area where you are standing is "charging-up" and a lightning strike may be imminent. www.weather.gov/mqt/lightningtips#:~:text=If%20you%20are%20caught%20outside,telephone%20pole%2C%20or%20flag%20pole.&text=If%20your%20hair%20stands%20on,lie%20flat%20on%20the%20ground.
