PK One of those fish was really bending your rod "lots" while you were busy tending chores. Can you tell more about the lice/leaches? Don't think I ever saw any in fresh water trout. Must be grass around heard lots of "pooping", geese. Your kayak looks to be super well equipped for comfortable fishing. Nice enjoyable video with great commentary!!!
Oh man, I always miss those bites. I think those lice are called copepods. They are pretty common on stocked trout, especially when the water warms up, or when the trout has been in the lake for a long time.
Yes it was. But I was using the kayak more and more, and I got 2 kayaks now. Wasn't using the boat much so I sold it before the resale value went too low.
Those calm waters are complimented very well with the overcast sky, I never have luck with sun on the water catching fish. I love the expression on your face @ 08:19, we are all shouting FISH ON but you cannot hear us! PK, you always have great content, wonderful show, thanks for posting!
Interesting seeing the changes to the Scotty mounts
Wish I could send a pic. My 6 yr old grandson just pulled a 15" trout out of the lake!!!
Where are you? Couldn’t catch the area you mentioned….
Looks beautiful
PK, have you ever fished for the sea run cutthroats? I bet those taste great.
I have not but have been meaning to. Not sure where to go for them. They definitely taste great.
@@oregonlife - They are on my bucket list this year. I heard second half of Aug and first half of Sep is a good time to go to the coastal streams
I need to get my kayak on the water and get some fishing done. Great vid PK.

Hey P k wish I would have known you were going to be at Olalla, I’m 15 minutes from the lake, I tried to find you on Facebook but couldn’t find you.
I'm usually not on FB much. but I can be reached at: pk1998@gmail.com
The coloration on that larger trout was beautiful.. you should create a GoPro underwater release cam mount ;)
Were they all rainbow trout?
Wow, that was a nice trout! And that's a great call to let the bigger ones go.

Hey all…
Thoughts on scent? I’ve never seen a difference. Anyone got a strong argument for using it? Thanks!
I have to say I only eat wild trout. I've never enjoyed planters
Mushers
I agree, pet fish are not as tasty
Where were u at this day?
Looks like olalla lake near Toledo oregon
Such a beautiful place.
Olalla Reservoir, Toledo, OR
Just out of curiosity, why did you get rid of your new boat? It looked small enough to be pretty economical to run/own.
Yes it was. But I was using the kayak more and more, and I got 2 kayaks now. Wasn't using the boat much so I sold it before the resale value went too low.
