Hi thanks for your video. I have doubt with ground water flow conditions. Lets say if xmin and Xmax is open ,does that mean water will flow out of the model? For instance , if i want to model 2m by 2m soil under undrained conditions and i want to apply a load at the top of the soil, then xmin,x max ymin ymax and zmin should it be closed or should I keep default boundary available in plaxis ? Could you please clarify ?
Dear @amithks8.. Thank you for your question. In principle, determining the groundwater flow condition depends on our model. In my model, I created half of the full model, so I used a closed boundary for Xmin because there is PVD on the left side, although it's not seen in my model (similarly for the Ymin and Ymax axes). However, on the right side, I used an open boundary because there is no PVD effect. My suggestion is that if you want to analyse a single PVD, you can use a closed boundary for all horizontal directions.
thanks sister

i have a quarry
How to input PVD permeability at plaxis
Hii
We can't input the permeability of PVD in Plaxis. Plaxis has assumed that PVD has a high permeability.
mbak ajarin donk
if you will do a plaxis course by English please tell us.😊
Okay, I hope I can do this. thanks for your support!
