Hi Tania, great video, I thought the westman looked very pretty on u, loved the freckles peaking through, looked so natural. But in the sunlight, it did look very glowy. Great honest review as always. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m like u, I prefer a skin tint in the fall/winter when my skin is dry and needs a little extra moisture and radiance. I tend to have a very oily skin type so matte foundations tend to work better for me in the summer. Thank u so much for the review on this. I was curious about it! ❤️🥰

It's fine, but I'm looking for more than "fine" for the price of this. Also, I'm not keen on a glowy/shiny base, I'd much prefer a natural, luminous finish and this one has a bit too much of the glow.
I love hearing the sounds of children playing, it honestly makes me glad to be alive, especially when they erupt into a fit of giggles 😃

What a good, honest review. I agree, for the price I expect a lot. All WA packaging is beautiful which is not cheap. I feel a lot of her products are geared toward drier skin types. I hope she comes out with a foundation/skin tint geared toward combination/oily skin along with a compatible sun block.

Another skin tint review! This has been such a great year for foundation type products launching. I agree with you this is pretty, but not pretty enough for the price. That glow looks lovely at the end of the day for us dry ones, but would definitely need a little powdering to cut that down a bit. The packaging for this one is honestly gorgeous for a plastic component, they know what they are doing there. Happy Saturday Tania ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the review. Always so helpful! FYI, despite seeing this and other reviews saying there was a tackiness to this product, I took a chance, and I did NOT experience any tackiness. I was totally expecting the tackiness because I jhave combination skin on the oily side, but I figured trying it would finally dispell my intrigue with the product. But the opposite happened. I really like it!

@TaniaBWells I think if you used it just like Gucci Westman shows on her videos, 2-3 drops for ur entire face, it works better. That's what I did. (I think that's the case with all of her products I've tried. She's all about the minimalist use of her makeup, right?) Hope it works better next time you try it. Thanks again, beautiful!💜

You're absolutely right that the price is really steep for a skin tint. I get that it has skin care ingredients but I just can't seem to justify this purchase even though it looks really pretty. I don't think it will work on my combination skin though. I initially wanted it at first because I like Westman Atelier products but after seeing how expensive it was, I unfortunately had to reconsider. Thank you for another well-thought-out review! 🥰
Totally agree with you! I wish she would formulate a foundation geared for us combination/oily skin types......seems the line is for drier skin types.
I do want to see a more natural finish from her. And maybe a true fuller coverage foundation.

I don’t think anything can beat my rare beauty and tower beauty tints! The saie one is also pretty nice but a bit oily for me so I think I’ll pass on this one.. I don’t like too much glow. The packaging is gorgeous and looks very chic though lol but what did you use on your lips at the beginning of the video? It’s such a beautiful nude brown color ❤️

If you compare the Summer Fridays vs Westman Atelier vs Hourglas skin tint which one would you say gives the most amount of glow? I am not a fan of matte skin, the more glow the better
I would say hourglass or Westman . I don’t love the Westman Atelier one because it’s very sticky and it feels kind of oily.

Hi Tania, I am curious if you use the westman Atelier Lit up stick under the skin care drops or under the foundation stick? I have heard it makes a big difference.

Ir is not the Fenty in the beginning, it is a Nars lip pigment in “get it on”

Tania how do you feel comparing this to the Chanel Water Tint? This one looks pretty on you. I agree with you about spending the $$ on skin care. A older good on is Givenchy Couture Tint. I think that’s the name. It’s very nice. 💖💄👄
I don’t think the westman atelier holds a candle to the Water Tint for me. I am in love with the water tint and the Westman Atelier is just ok.. I never tried the givenchy couture tint!
I was between this one and the channel and the channel new tint I think might be the winner

Do you apply primer before using the complexion drops? I’m so confused as they told us to apply the drops the way we apply our serum but that clearly looks more like a makeup than skincare product…
I apply the bronzing drops before foundation as a primer.

I personally didn’t love the Kosas one. It broke up on my face, so I got rid of it!!

Great advice on the price tbh. You can make drug store foundation look great if you have good skin underneath to begin with 💯
I agree, not wowed. Expected a light coverage based on their marketing. It’s more medium coverage -certainly not as emollient as I anticipated and I have dry skin. I really wanted to like it because like you, I am a Westman Atelier fan, however after using it for a week, I haven’t found the correct application method and if one uses retinol products this is not the foundation that works best as it gets under the skin layers and doesn’t distribute the color evenly.
I have used it probably 5x since I got it and I don’t love it! It separates on me after some hours and there’s just something about it that I don’t love…
After the successes of most of their products this is a huge disappointment. The press release states it was four years in development. Many companies have come out with their version of skin care/light foundation, clean (less petroleum based ingredients) that I was excited for Westman Atelier’s version. Let’s see how they handle returns. They must know by now it’s not one of their best. I ordered Summer Friday’s -it was on my wish list and after your review, I decided to press “order”.
Update on Westman Atelier Vital Skin Drops. Long learning curve with this skin tint. It’s more of a foundation than a skin tint. I used it over emollient SPF lotion and applied with fingertips. It went on very smoothly without the drag I felt before, it didn’t feel sticky and yet didn’t slide around and stayed put. The color distributed evenly over my skin without just filling in the pores or laying under the skin cell layers and separate as before . The drops performed as advertised.
This product is pretty, I agree. But definitely not worth the price tag. But you’re paying for the name for a majority of it. As pretty as some of these products are that claim to have certain skincare benefits etc, it’s not worth spending that sort of money on them because you’re layering them over existing skincare and sunscreen which will hinder the properties of it getting through to the layers of your skin it would usually if it was just in your skincare routine. So anytime you’re wearing these foundations or tints through the day you are not getting any of the benefits at all (if they even have enough of the products in them to actually do anything in the first place that is). Sunscreen alone is made specifically to penetrate the skin and create a barrier to prevent uva and uvb rays penetrating the skin. So nothing in a foundation or tint will do anything for the skin unless you’re wearing it directly over just a toner and possibly a serum at most. Start adding moisturiser and more still sunscreen, it will be completely pointless.

Yeah, it’s tiny!! I guess it’s very liquid.. I had to double check on the bottle box cause it was hard to believe it’s 1 oz, but it says 1 oz on it.. 🤷♀️

I started to get this even though it’s a 68$ skin tint. But when I saw it was 1/3 ounce I was like nope nope. So it does have an ounce?? On Sephora it said .31 ounces. But I checked and now it says an ounce. Hmmmmm.

I disagree with ur comment about getting expensive skin care and drugstore foundations. Skin care from the drug store is far better than the expensive stuff. Expensive skin care is a luxury not needed. Even a doctor isn’t gonna recommend u go buy tatcha or whatever, they r gonna recommend drugstore and it does the job wonderfully. High end foundations on the other hand might perform better and u can actually see the performance. So I would invest in high end foundation but drugstore skincare.
I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you. I have used medical grade skin care and drugstore skin care. The medical grade is so much better than the drugstore…way better. Better ingredients,more research done and the actives ingredients are way more superior. In my opinion.. if you have good or great skin,you can get away with using drugstore makeup and it will look good.

You only talk about the price, and not about the good things about the foundation, good cost money: total disagreed
I think I talked about my belief in investing in good skincare rather than foundation with skincare. Yes, there are some benefits, but for me it’s not worth investing in this over a good serum. However, I don’t dislike the benefits:)
