- For a long time, I've always found Hoshiko to be one of the most interesting characters in the game. Her story and how she is the odd duck of her group, has always fascinated me and it inspired me to come up with an idea to help explain why she acts that way and how she acts.
The story goes that when Hoshiko was a child, her mother was murdered and she and her father both came to the scene of the crime. Her mother was murdered out of the blue whilst she was leaving work and this planted a seed in Hoshiko's mind that bad things happen to good people. Hoshiko was upset and mad that her mother was killed, yet she justified it in her head that it was okay and was just bad timing. In her teenage years, she wishes to seek out targets and inflict pain on to them to help her twisted narrative. But one day, she goes a little too far...

in addition to being the newest among the Bullys, she is also the most violent, her friends need to convince her not to physically harm anyone, so that gave credibility to the MV

Heres my story: Since Hoshikos mother was suddenly murdered as a child, she constantly believed that only bad things happen to good people, as she entered her teen years along with friends, (musume and the rest of the group) she still believed this. As time went by and they targeted Horuda, Hoshiko realized that she didnt wanna be a bully anymore. But since Musume relied or Hoshiko so much, she couldnt admit to leave the group. Over free time without the group, Hoshiko would hang out with Horuda. One day, Hoshiko decided to set up a talk with Horuda on the roof. Since Hoshiko still believed that bad things happen to good people, before she met up with Horuda she grabbed a screwdriver and put it in her pocket. As Hoshiko and Horuda talked, Hoshiko brang up even worse topics as to cause 'Bad Things' to a 'Good Person'. As Horuda was about to leave, Hoshiko did just that. She caused bad things to a good person.

Every bully has their own reasons for being a bully, kokoro doesnt want to be bullied so she became what she hates, hana is insecure about herself, and so on. Hoshiko is just simply cruel. no insecurities, not a victim of bullying. just simply, *cruel.*
If hoshiko was the group leader instead of musume, i dont think ayano would be the only one in jail..

There's a theory Hana is insecure and witnessed lots of accidents so she trys to calm herself down by bullying.
And hoshikos mother was killed when she was just a child so she thought that bad things only happen to good people. It's a theory btw

If Hoshiko is the most violent of the bullies, perhaps she could be a useful tool to Ayano; maybe even a potential ally. Imagine Hoshiko joining in on the killing!

gameplay wise it would actually be pretty cool to have other students that have murder\violent pasts that you can find out about by going through their backpack\diary or by stalking them, if they see you commit murder you can blackmail them to keep their mouth shut in order for you not to tell their secret, i feel like the're is a lot you can do with that
you can only do that to rivals, but if you can do that to other people then it would be really cool too!!
Yan dev did wright on her character profile page that she is the cruelest of the bullies and that the others have to talk her out of doing any physical harm to the victims according to Yan dev he wrote that she doesn’t need an excuse to be a bully she does it out of joy
Well that’s just bad character writing. No motives, nothing to show for why she’s this sadistic and cruel? Stop defending bad writing. You’ll consume bad media that way.
@@astorroids no it isn’t. It’s realistic. Not every character needs to have a tragic backstory in order to act a certain way and be interesting. Junko enoshima is one of the most famous villains in game history and she has 0 motive behind doing what she does

@@minyumonet4746 Yeah and? That’s a universe where teenagers can preform full on surgeries on themselves. That world is unrealistic and weird. And she did have motive. Most sadistic people irl have had childhood trauma and damage to make them into the person they are. It’s not their fault, its what happens (even though it shouldn’t happen.) If you’re talking about ASPD, that’s a mental disorder but it doesn’t mean all people who have ASPD are murderers, sadists, etc. The way her character is writing is rushed and underdeveloped and frankly kinda awful. It sucks. If you want me to believe this is anything like good writing, good luck man. This shit sucks. The video rocks.

Just my story abt this video:
Hoshiko have a happy family when she was a kid, her dad was a police officer and her family was so good and respect by others, but after all her dad was cheated and her mom was suicide, the police came to the investigate and suddenly saw his wife was dead, Hoshiko hate her dad because if he's not cheating her mom then she will not suicide, and she become violent when she grew up because all traumatized bring by her parent & her childhood. One day maybe she just want to bully Horuda as usual but she suddenly killed her, Horuda's dead make her think back again her mother, she fell into the trauma again

we can see that she is a traumatized person. It seems like she joined the bullies and she is the cruelest, does horrible things to the other students, it all comes from her childhood trauma, we can see That other bullies worry about her and her unnecessary behavior and realize that she does it all to make herself feel better.
