- Judith Sims, Editor, TeenSet Magazine: "There were no formal introductions--most of the press party had been on last year's tour, so they just picked up where they had left off, and everyone sort of wandered around from Beatle to Beatle, tape recorders whirring away."
The Philadelphia Inquirer: The foursome granted informal interviews to six newsmen before the concert. They hadn't wanted a full-dress press conference. (Note: These moments were called "taping sessions".) Their dress ran to a satin shirt and yellow sunglasses for John, tee-shirt for George, flowered sports shirt for Paul and a polka-dot shirt for Ringo.
Once more, since this is an audio only tape source, I included photographs that were taken that same day, August 16, 1966.

Great pics.
Aw Paul you are so wonderful and sincere. I’m so glad you had a kind man speaking with you who really cared. ❤️✨
his kindness!
What's so interesting at ALL the American(and Canadian) press conferences, they knew this was their last live tour. Immediately after SF, they all took a long break and started doing their own things.
Wow. Paul's '61 Hofner backstage. I thought he had has Ricky as his backup on this tour. Perhaps the Ricky only went on the Germany/Japan/Philippines leg.
wowwww
Interesting, Paul says they were keen on having a record out for Christmas 1966. Either he said this for the sake of publicity, or maybe they hadn't decided to take a break after Candlestick Park yet
