And then how it switches at 1:50 and 1:55 -- the notes in the Raiden Shogun's theme at 1:50 ooze judgement and might; this is the almighty Shogun, beloved kagemusha of the previous Shogun, she who birthed great gaping *chasms* just from a single strike. Whether it's the puppet or the true soul you're fighting, you must be prepared to face her will. And then then it contrasts with Wanderer's theme at 1:55, in which the notes to his theme are played softly, gently; almost meekly. It reminds you that yeah, at one point or another he *was* a kind person, a gentle soul. A person who threw away a heart -- his greatest desire -- because said heart supposedly came from murder and bloodshed, something he once scorned. The softness of the notes almost remind me of Mipha's theme, and if you know anything about Mipha... well. Nothing more to be said, then. idk i like how the dynamic between them shifts; one's not always angry and powerful over the other.

Both Ei and Scaramouche tried to lock their true selves away from the world, Scara in the Shouki no Kami represented him locking his humanity away inside a cold machine, and Ei replaced herself with a puppet/false version of herself in the real world, locking her soul away in her realm. Both needed their worldviews shaken drastically by the same individual from beyond the stars. And then they both overcome their own dark side/inner demons once they are given a new perspective on life and the world. I think Inversion of Genesis did that a bit better tbh. The Wanderer had spent another 500 years in his second life, wandering the world. Unlike his Fatui counterpart, he's slowly learned to take in the beauty of nature around himself, even if he felt like he had lacked a purpose in his seemingly empty life. Sometimes, the only thing we need in life is to personally experience the world around us, learning to enjoy it while we still live. His change wasn't really out of the blue, if you see his preferences in the teapot, he likes specific things that have to do with nature itself. Ei also came out of her realm to take in the beauty of how much Inazuma has changed around her. Basically these two really needed to walk on some grass.
This is so creative! The transitions between the different parts of their themes are seamless and outline the parallels between Ei and Wamderer perfectly. If we ever get a cutscene of their frst meeting, I imagine the bgm to sound just like this.
i think this reflects so easily how deep are this characters, it is Ei fault part of Scara fate and she did abandon him, as Scara says it sounds just like an excuse for him and also still, abandon a child as a mother is wrong, but that doesn't mean Ei is a villain now or a very bad being, she at the ends is just a character that had tonds of flaws and did choose not the healthiest way to afront bigger problems than her, as the same with Scara, that shows how both deep and very well writen are this characters and i completely enjoy that
As a Wanderer main I'm in absolute awe of every transition and how you managed to fit in all those epic themes between Scara & Raiden! Those iconic scenes made me felt emotional how much Scara had grown. ;) Words couldn't really describe how touched and emotional I was listening to this arrangement, it'll be one of my favourite and most replayed videos from now on. Perfectly done 100%

I always loved the Fujin and Raijin parallels Genshin had, both with Wanderer and Ei being Electro and Anemo, as well as Kazuha and his friend who passed away also being Anemo and Electro (as we saw in the double-vision cutscene)

Wait you're right-they also have the 5 point circle (Raiden's skill, and the thing on Scara's transformer mech in boss fight 2nd phase) looks similar to Inazuma vision which is where both are originally from

lol that sudden modulation surprised me, i thought you were going to transition to that bit in the teaser that goes "Gb F C Db C" but instead you shifted to the demo music which was a really dramatic shift in contrast with the smooth changes in the other sections! One of my favourite arrangements by far so far, even better than the individual demo musics.

I dont think the original Raiden Boss Theme works on the piano well. That's why even in this video, I've used the variation from 2.5 Trailer instead of the actual battle music :(
