Yo I just figured out why Hanako’s so attached to Yashiro. It’s not because he’s a pervert, he’s not a pervert at all. It’s because Yashiro made him feel something after being numbed for so long. Think about it, all the horrifying things that happened to him when he was alive, all the people that didn’t care and all the people who pretended to. He didn’t have anyone who really cared about him. Even his old school teacher pretended to care about him, and even admitted to it. So if you think about it, he’s not being preventive, he’s being clingy, and over protective of someone he should be. So when Kou gets close to Yashiro, that’s why he hugs her, or gets sad. That’s why he’s so attached!

The picture perfect arch was so sad is retrospective, the whole thing was hanako's way of trying to get nene to let go even tho it was going to hurt him a lot.

Cause, You guys remember the Tea Party Arc, Right? When Yashiro came across Hanako's timeline? Right when he saw Yashiro and she started asking questions, He ran away. But, There was a small comic from the chapter when Hanako first saw her.
With the line 'She had really fat ankles.' With him blushing. Let's date forward to the Festival Arc, Yashiro also went back to atleast 50 years ago and met Amane, Hanako's younger past self. Yashiro was begging for the red tag right? He declined that offer, Instead, They ate dinner together. As for Amane, He stated that her ankles were really swollen.
When Yashiro cleaned his cheeks, And made Amane flustered and blush, He decided to give his red tag for a reason: "And actually.. You're kind of my type. So that's why I wanted to give it to you!"
When Yashiro was about to leave, He looked sad about it. Before leaving, Yashiro gave him a kiss on the forehead. So, Looking from these two arcs. It really is possible that Hanako likes her.
As for one, When Amane met Yashiro from the festival, She told him that she was his type. Later on meeting Amane in middle school, Looking at the comic again, He blushed when he saw her legs. So, I was thinking that the legs were only his remembrance of Yashiro when he was young.

ok so i just randomly thought of this of all the 23 times i’ve watched it since it was uploaded
hanako is yashiro’s bf in this story.
they both live together in a small home, and they’re sitting in their living room on two sofas. it’s christmas morning and yashiro is wrapped in a cozy, fuzzy blanket with a some hot cocoa in her hands. hanako apparently knows how to play the guitar and sings this song to her. it ends with yashiro clapping violently quick and hanako being all flustered and cute.

For people who dont know what that is that is school mystery no. 4 or shijimi-san of the art room, Kou and Yashiro wake up in a different world where Hanako and Mitsuba are alive as Amane and Mitsuba, Amane's little brother is also alive still keeping the name Tsukasa, when it was P.E. Class Yashiro and Kou see a weird tower, they are confused about the tower but decide to ignore it, once Yashiro and Kou are done they go sit down somewhere, seeing Shijima-san, Aoi Akane and Akane Aoi tell them about the story of school mystery No. 4 as Yashiro and Kou are told this, Shijima-san erases the art of Aoi-chan and Akane-kun saying its "imperfect" later Yashiro and Kou see Aoi-chan and Akane-kun crack and fall apart, Yashiro and Kou are super worried about this but the other students say its all normal.. Yashiro and Kou go to the mysterious tower and they see school mystery no. 4, shijima mei tells them that their in a painting, to escape they either have to kill the main characters or Amane/Hanako-kun and Mitsuba, there's also another way to escape a secret door, normally the door is somewhere the main characters cant reach or the secret door in this chapter is the moon, apparently everyone in the world is fictional except mitsuba and hanako/amane later a clone of shijima-san is a paint brush trying to help Yashiro, Amane breaks the paintbrush and goes back to the school with yashiro in his hands, he reveals himself as the real Hanako-kun and mitsuba as the real Mitsuba-kun Hanako reveals that Yashiro is dying so he told shijima-San too keep yashiro in this fictional world where age is paused/ age does not go up, Yashiro was secretly listening to this and she was sad, nervous, and curious
