Great video! A lot of other UA-camrs would either just buy the stuff online or not even show the buying process at all so it is really cool to see y'all actually go out to your local store and see what they have in person.
I actually check Walmart for parts now, I’ve found 500g m.2 $25 and 1 tb for $42 WD blue m.2 you never know what they will have.
The smooth jazz for the unboxing is an interesting choice!
My first "gaming" desk was from Walmart that I bought back in 2015. I couldn't complain about a $43 desk lasting 3 years until I upgraded.
My first desk that can actually hold a keyboard and mouse was a vanity I "modded" before I was using 2 small ass side table to hold the monitor and then the other for peripherals😅😂

Yep, I'm still using a L shaped glass desk from 2005 that I got from Walmart😅

I have the same monitor and mouse. I went from an OLD AOC 144hz 24" display and a corsair harpoon mouse but was well worth the small upgrades. I love the mouse for sure and the monitor took a little bit getting use to having a bigger screen. But having HDR support is a huge bonus as well.
for cool affordable desks Amazon has great designs. If you ever do a desk only video you should do a small, medium, and large desk. They have a lot of metal framed desks that assemble and survive shipping so much better than particleboard desks.
Evidence that you can make an ok setup without really thinking. If you do research you can really make a great value desk setup that costs as much or around the same price as this. Love these videos!

I would always recommend a used table and chair. Good older office chairs are pretty easy to find and generally more comfortable than cheaper gaming chairs and def. more comfy than anything you're are going to find at WM.

I had a sharp edge cheap desk like that. I used a flat file to file down that edge. Works a lot better lol
Still got a desk I bought from Walmart in 2003, still using it.

i looked at those onn mouse pads but the onn was so huge so i put it back.
walmrt makes a good standing desk from their gtracing brand its 149 with a cup holder, controller holder and 4 usb ports with LED lights

I got my desk at a garage sale for $10 lol great shape too, not the most room, but enough to use and store some collectible below.
In fact my whole setup was under $500 and everything besides my chair and IEM's were preowned/or new never used. I don't just buy the first thing I see though, a lot of mental math calculating values goes into my purchasing decisions. I'll wait for the best deal to pop and be the first to get to it.

I bought that same monitor a year ago on Black Friday for $200, for the price, it's hard to complain. 1440p@165hrz is hard to complain about.

I actually rock both the 1080p 27" LG that I bought from Walmart as well as the 1440p 32" LG that I also bought from Walmart. Both are 165hz VA panels and the 32" does offer hdr but at least from my experience it was atrocious. Now I could definitely be doing it very very wrong but it seemed to only make my screen darker completely to the point of it being unusable for any form of gaming or even just watching anime/movies or UA-cam. VA seems to turn people off but I don't have any complaints. I think I paid 100-120 for the 1080p and like 120-140 for the 1440p :)
for a starter setup the linmon will always be king when it comes to a cheap desk

I got the 27in version of that monitor for 150 on sale 2 weeks ago from my local Walmart and I love it! Playing games at over 100fps is insane!
How you play games over 100fps? I get 70-80fps
@@genlongtsang1093 I have a rx 7600 with a ryzen 7600. Most of the games I've thrown at it except for Jedi survivor so far have been atleast 100fps. With that being said the 27in version is 1080p not 1440p

i have that same monitor now for about a year still going LG are awsome But DONT HIT IT OR EVEN TAP them they will break i had 3 break on me
and ill never buy another one agian now unless i can warranty it or something as i had 2 4k monitor break a pice of plastic tapped one and it never worked agian
the other oen i moved to clean an never worked again i liked them also the screen looks so clean
For a full setup you need an extension lead/cord. Because no one has enough sockets in one place
