The reason the Glaucus is 175 is cause they have Wyvern levels. Their taming method involves a combat encounter that ends with a dropped egg.
they are also based off the blue dragon sea slug, which is really cool.

That big guy in the Ocean is the Draconis Glaucus. The reason they're so high level is because they're basically Wyvern tames with extra steps.
The name makes sense, as it looks like a giant, draconic Glaucus Atlanticus
There's actually a sea creature that looks like it, it's called a sea blue dragon, they are really small but i believe they are venomous

@@ScathingSerperior coolest thing, i think, technically, they themselves aren't venomous, they feed on man o war and then project the man o war spines through their skin, and making the toxin more potent in the process. truly impressive animals, imo
On Aberration, I had a green glowtail named Rango. It was just tamed at a high level, no crazy breeding. This thing was unkillable. It could fight stegos and paracers and win, it has survived so many moshpits where I died and Rango was left alone to be eaten, Rango just wasn't ready to die. Whether it was being wailed on by karkinos in the middle of the blue zone lake, or being swarmed my reapers and baddies at the element river, or falling into a pit of nameless and rock drakes in the drake trench without his light on, Rango survived it all. He was one of the first glowpets I tamed, and he was one of my tribes last glow pets before we closed the server. Rango is alive to this day in upload limbo in Survival Evolved, waiting to return again if I ever go back to that game.

Can we talk about the fact that Syntacs very first tame in The Center series is a max level dilo? Like not even something he can harvest with, just a max level dilo that helps kill paras.

"Livyatan" is the Hebrew name for the Leviathan, the creature from Jewish myth. It's also the origin of the name in English. It's pronounced "leev-yah-tahn", and in modern Hebrew, it means whale.

I find the location that Syntac is in HIGHLY amusing (27:00 on). Those ruins are where I had my first center base, back when it was a new map. And is quite a nice little location. It's a two part ruin structure with a tunnel leading to stairs, that goes up to the main area. Easily blocked off. The main area is a hollow cone-shaped room, open at the top and ringed with pillars, also easy to string walls and gates along. Even has a hidden rathole area. Same with the metal, I saw where he was and was like 'yup, that's the metal bluff. lots of nodes and crystal".
Don’t see ANYONE saying this but I recognized it IMMEDIATELY!! I don’t know mods but that blue thing in the water around 28:18 ish..it’s a REAL animal called a “Blue Glaucus” or a “Sea slug Blue Dragon” and one of my favorite animals!! Not that big IRL but still cute!! Funny enough they are REALLY REALLY dangerous to touch so-😭

IIRC, Glaucus are wyverns of the sea. They'd follow the same higher level cap. They aren't aggressive until you're taming them, thankfully.

You used to be able to enter from the front and had to grapple/fly across the lava to the other side if I remember right. Had lots of metal/crystal/obsidian.

from what I can tell is that if you can walk through a rock you can't pick it up of harvest it but if you walk over the rock or it stops you most of the time you can harvest it.
The reaction to the wild Glaucus is pure gold as always. Careful though, really dangerous if you piss it off 😅

I completely agree with the flier comment, I think that's why aberration is my favorite map, lack of fliers, having to actually go somewhere on foot is much more immersive and exciting rather than just flying over 95% of things
the one mod i can’t handle is the jumping spider mod. my arachnophobia really can’t handle that one, barely able to see broodmother 😭
the real life spiders are less creepy than the mod. Also for entertainment/laughing at a fear, do voiceovers for spiders when you see them. But give them a very thick Brooklyn accent
@@Kehy_ThisNameWasAlreadyTaken nah, i find spiders scary both irl and in games, there is few games i’ve been able to play that has spiders (minecraft for example, tho it took some time to get used to them)
But also since it’s not just a fear for spiders, it’s a phobia that sadly hinders me to certain degrees in my life 😔 Even more sad is that i am not ready to do the work to get used to spiders and lessen my phobia for spiders 😫
@@DriftingFeathers Wickens Wicked Reptiles also has arachnophobia, and was given/ accepted a jumping spider specifically to get over it. I might suggest just listening to the audio of his video about him making it a little home- no need to actually look at it

Dragonis galactis he will chase you on land if you make it mad and it has the jellyfish stun ability
if you ever want to pick up a bed you just have to remove the foundation underneath it, as long as its not damaged you should just automatically put it in the inventory.

I totally got Leed'd within my first couple of hours on Center...destroyed my raft, killed me, and then megalodons killed my Dilo and Pego while I respawned...
Yep, I actually managed to swim to shore after I lost my raft, but the few thousand in resources were lost. I installed a mod so now they ignore me. They are no use with the exception of harassing you.
was able to avoid one only to get a level 300 sarco attack my raft while i laid AFK while a tribemate was getting for resources. total restart. lost everything. this map is bonkers this time around.
We were cruising by Skull Island after arriving on the map and got surprised tanked by a damn Leeds. Our first base was inside the hollow tree on the beach of the Redwoods. It was a horrible place to be. LOL Our main communal base ended up being in those ruins you initially spawned by though!
I like part of the changes to Skull Island but think they should have kept the open area and lava inside of it they missed a huge opportunity and potential by not keeping it and making it better.
That sea dragon thing looks like the real ones except super-sized, I think the real seadragons are a type of sea slug/snail and only like an inch or 2 long
The upside-down dragon is based on a real sea slug, called Blue Glaucus, which also swims upside-down. The real one is smol though, and blue. Many creatures in the sea have counter-shading; darker backs and lighter bellies. But because this thing swims on its back it has reverse counter-shading; lighter on it's back and darker on the belly.
The reason it seems like you cant drink sometimes is because there is a resource you can harvest with your hands where you are trying to drink. With a tool in hand you cant harvest the resource or drink water

Syntac if you're seeing this, you commented on the cryo terminal 2 episodes ago requiring element, if you still plan to replace it I'd suggest super cryo storage, it works a lot like Dino Storage V2 from ASE and doesn't require element to make it's items

Going underwater will fill up your water, and being rained on will fill up your water.
Otherwise, to drink from lakes/rivers/etc., you need both hands free --- no single-hand scooping allowed. Put the axe away, Syntac!

This map was planned for magmasaurs. I was goofing off in creator mode and decided to fly into the volcanos mouth and underneath the lava is a ridiculous amount of resources in the pool. Metal, crystal, obsidian were the ones I noticed. They had to of planned for a way to harvest that otherwise they wouldn’t have put it in there.
I really hope that they continue to include the giganto in other maps, not having it on scorched really sucked

If you ever tame a Titaniboa it needs to be named Rattlesnake Jake. The snake from the Rango movie.
Unfortunately, Titanoboa may just be one of the least valuable tames relative to how difficult they are to tame. They're definitely one of the creatures that need a TLC and rework the most (along with pretty much every OG cave creature).

@Syntac Need to ask a very important question about the dung beetle for players that completed the whole series. Does any of the dung beetle stats breakdown more feces, like I know the dung beetle makes fertilizer and oil but does any stat increase the quantity of feces being break down I know about level and range is effected but I’m wondering if there is a hidden mechanic that secretively breakdown more feces. Please and thank you get back to me ❤

Was that a Tylosaur? I remember being able to get up on the skull island from the top of my raft house. I think there was a bit that sloped down in front but you couldn't actually jump all the way up.

Just FYI Syntac, that whale is called Leviathan, it's just the old testament Hebrew spelling because another fossil was already named Leviathan (Mastodon or Mammoth from memory). You just pronounce it with a "t" sound instead of "th"

Ok I have a stupid question. Would the four sossages start a new map in a tribe all together? I think it would be hilarious. I can imagine you build the starter base, Evo protects you and actually helps, Jim gets completely lost (spawns are confusing and he usually gets killed by rex and alpha raptors) and Axe just tames random stuff and brings them to base. Because Axe. Time zone issues are a problem, but maybe you could invite Jim to your actual house and he could use your "old" computer (or Heather's).

Glaucus are creatures that give you eggs (don't remember how) and can't tame them from wild you raise them.

Another amazing episode for me to watch I loved it also tho huge vibrant sea slug its looks like that in real life its a underwater its a dagon they very poisonous too. Y'all don't come at me wherever is is called it is some sort of sea slug. Also this episode went way to fast and I am happy that I got a longer episode today. Hoping for the boys to release some too but they haven't yet unfortunately. You are the one I watch the most then Evo and then Axeman and jimbob too also going to watch the sausage party now. about not being able to drink the water, i noticed that i can only drink if im on the shore next to the water or if its just your feet in the water , for some reason the game doesnt register drinking when swimming in the water, unless youre under it, and even then, you cant fill any of your containers
