- As a life long LEGO Harry Potter fan, I love seeing the new products however there was one that really disappointed me. I saw the price and the photos and couldn't stand it, however with so many others raving about it I figured I could no longer judge the set by it's cover and needed to try it out.

LEGO doesn't do itself a favor when they release sets in a color that they can't get the consistency somewhat right on. this statue has at least five different shades of the same blue tone and it make it just look bad and cheap, despite the good design work
Lupin is one of my favourite Harry Potter characters, but I can't justify buying this set for his minifigure and the exclusive Harry.
I actually really like this set. As a fan of Ninjago, Space, Spider-Man, & Jurassic Park sets, this is the 1st Harry Potter set I’ve ever bought because it’s so different than the typical stuff I see from the theme. I wish there were more satin blue elements but I’m pretty satisfied with the overall set. Especially since I got my copy half off from BrickLink.
When I realized the legs on the stag could be moved, I realized I needed this set. I think it's fun and nice looking. Haven't built the wolf yet, but think it's really awesome to get another build. Would like to see if we get additional patronus build options. Agree there should have been more translucent pieces.
I bought two of these sets just so I could display both versions. They look great as bookends with my HP book collection sandwiched in between. I had to do a little modding to turn the wolf the other direction.

I wish they’d make a buildable Ron to finish off the three of them, at least. Maybe Ron and Dumbledore/Snape. I enjoyed the buildable Minifigs and bought the red shirt and blue hat one as well. I just think it’s weird to only have Harry and Hermione.
If it hadn’t sold so poorly I figure we would have got Ron and malfoy
Great review Holly. Since I like the Buildable Harry and Hermione so much I have a display with the stag and dobby and the magical trunk stacked on the quidditch chest, and the horntail fits too.
Good review. I wasn't too interested in the build, but seeing it in the wild, it's not too bad. I honestly might get both.

Imagine if LEGO makes a 3 in 1 for all 3 Neubian starships in the Star Wars prequels. So you can choose to make either ship from each film. Then come 3 exclusive Padmé minifigures, 1 from each film. What do you think?
The set is overpriced and could indeed use some more translucent pieces. But I prefer this kind of set to play sets. I'm not going to play with the sets. So displayability > playability.
So I got two copies of this one to display both Patronuses (I got them with 25% off each. No way I'd pay full price twice).

I had to buy 2 of this set! The wife wants to build the stag and my daughter wants to build the wolf, i chose the slightly more expensive solution to the problem 😂
Feels like a huge missed opportunity to not build the whole thing with trans bricks, so you can put LEDs in it.
I just wish there were more transparent elements incorporated.

It's not a bad set, but it's not for me.
I dislike sets that have two build options. I'd rather build both out of the box to have both displayed together

Feel like you’re very critical about everything these days. If u don’t like Lego anymore then maybe think about changing your UA-cam channel
I dont like this set either. when I heard this set was coming I was hoping it was a remake of the patrons set with Sirius. plus I know its silly but if this was all translucent blue that would have been a purchase but I just dont like the color.
i think stags in general are nice for decorations so combined with LEGO. this just feels great
I quite like this set, I have it on a shelf with the large brick built Harry pointing his wand, and in front is the minifigure Harry with the small patronus!
The patronis is to Harry Potter fans what the Yoda fountain is to Star Wars fans. Other than the fact that you can't buy the Yoda fountain as a set.
I think the HP theme needs to be retired completely. These buildable figures are awful and the fact they are releasing remakes again and again is a perfect example why. How many different Great halls or Hagrid’s huts do we need after all.
imo the video would’ve been better if it was just you saying “pink ice was right, this is the best Harry Potter set” and that was it but idk thats just me
Personally I like the minifigure scale piece better
I was hyped when it was rumored because I was gullible enough that I thought it would be made of completely transparent pieces
I’m with you there, I was too hopeful
I was seriously considering getting this #76414 set on Amazon several weeks ago when it was 30% off [1]. Despite the impressive build of the stag, I don't care for this patronus and the person behind its inspiration, James Potter. Therefore, I was only interested in this set for the potential to build a thestral patronus out of it. However, sourcing the wings gave me pause on my ambition.
Luckily, in the recommendation section on Amazon, there was also set #76400 Hogwarts Carriage & Thestrals, which was fit for my purpose just fine, as it contains 2 gorgeous thestral figures, one adult and one foal! Additionally, I could also do with more Luna and the Quibbler printed tile were both nice incentives. 👌
