I find it funny that instead of Jeet Kune Do, Law only fights "martial arts." And Lee isn't Japanese, he's Chinese, he only speaks Japanese because he was adopted by Heihachi.

Jin was actually only 180cm and 1kg smaller than Kazuya in Tekken 3.
He was 19 in 3 so he could have easily grown a little(i grew a lot after 19).
It is unknown when it happened,logically it would have been in the 2 year timeskip from Tekken 3 to Tekken 4 but we only know for sure that Jin was already 183cm since Tekken Tag 2 and Tekken 7 as his character model was slightly taller than Kaz in those.
Hwoarang also grew as much as Jin,he was 181cm in Tekken 3
Xiaoyu grew a bit less than them but still grew,went from 157cm to 159cm.
Ninas is simply a retcon as Harada had said years ago that 161cm was inaccurate anyways,atleast in the modern games.Back in Tekken 1&2 she was actually that small
Leroy is NOT 187cm,that has to be a typo for 178cm.
Look at him when he is talking to Jin in story mode,he was shorter than Jin.
Steve Foxs height is a mess.
He was always 187cm,but whereas Jin and Hwoarang grew they made him 184cms.

Just to clarify some misunderstanding.
Ling Xiaoyu while being chinese, attended a japanese school, after she caused a havoc on Heichachi's Cruiser, and yes the school belongs to Heichachi. Therefore it only makes sense that she speaks japanese, since her debut.
Lee Chaolan while also coming from China, was raised by Heichachi as a child, which is why japanese became his major language.
Lili was a rare case in DR, which is why it got fixed in T6 by her speaking french.
Of course you can argue ,,But in Tekken everyone speaks in their native language and they understand each other" but you can't choose logic in this matter, when wood noises is also a ,,language" in the Tekken verse.

Harada confirmed in a 2014 interview that Zafina is from Egypt. However, it doesn't necessarily mean she is Egyptian.
Lee, while being of Chinese origin, is technically a Japanese citizen, since he is legally adopted by Heihachi.
Funny enough if you include the origins of animal fighters, Kuma is also from Japan and Panda is from China.
Only the first 2 JACK models (JACK and JACK-2) were from Russia. The rest of the models were/are made by G-Corporation.

Why do they bother adding those stats when there was no thought put into it? Feng is the best example, 190 height 83 kg while being packed with muscle makes zero sense.
Maybe some information is wrong. You said jin,s style is karate. But, his style is Mishima and Kazama as, we have seen in the game.
Jack is 400kg. But Alisa is half metal and she's 60kg? And half the female fighters would be around 100kg anyway, muscle weights A LOT. Why even mention a character's weight? Wtf does that accomplish?
Why would they weigh the same? They’re completely different models, using completely different tech. Alisa isn’t made to weigh a lot, even with metal, the material of which we don’t know and could be entirely fictional. Also, most of the female fighters don’t have a lot of muscle. If anything, a majority of them are pretty slender. Also, muscle doesn’t weight “A LOT” it’s just dense. Also, the weights are just for psuedo-authenticity. Wtf does mentioning their height or nationality or fighting style accomplish? You could ask the same question for just about anything minor. Why tf is weight such a big deal to you is something you should be asking yourself

Density in relation to volume, that's what I meant and it's what mass is in physics, that's literally the definition of density. Since we're talking about a human body we're using weight instead of mass - gravity has to be taken into consideration here. You're being unnecessarily picky, trying to gotcha me. So I'll simplify my argument for you: the same volume of muscle weights around 20% more than the same volume of fat. If you factor in the way we judge how much someone weights by sight alone, then two people having the same size will look vastly different based on their body fat %. The one with less muscles will seem fatter, so we will assume they weight more, when it's the opposite. That's what I meant.
But that's exactly my point. I'm not mentioning why they assign blood types to characters even tho it makes zero sense to me because it has no bearing on the consumers of the media. It's a quirky, innocent tidbit of information. Why mention weight at all? And why make it so ridiculous? It's not adding any authenticity, quite the contrary. I've known lots of semi-professional female athletes, they were usually around 1.6-1.7 m and rather slender, but they did weight around 80-90 kg. I'm talking long distance runner, calisthenics or moderate weight-lifting type of athletes. Their physique was similar to some of the more solid female fighters in Tekken. And the ones that did weight less (so closer to the Tekken weights) were actually rather unhealthy despite being athletes, with their menstrual cycle giving up and overall pretty serious hormonal problems. And why did I even know their weight? Yeah, that's part of my point too. The obsession with weight is widely spread throughout the community of athletes of all sexes and genders. They talk about it constantly which is incidentally a symptom of EDs. I didn't want to know, didn't care and I was informed anyway. So perpetuating those ridiculous notions that muscly female athletes weight very little is unhealthy. Mentioning the weights is unnecessary, setting them to such unrealistic levels is bordering on malicious. And I'm sure lots of people picked up martial arts of all types thanks to Tekken, so why feed them these wrong ideas about weight? So they can apply these to themselves? That's malicious.
Male fighters in Tekken are more varied in the department of representation of different body types so naturally I don't pay so much attention to their weights, but yeah, these are probably off-base too. I'd just have to judge every character separately, because as I said they do vary in body types. I've seen comments under this video about ridiculous weight measurements of some specific male characters, so the issue exists there too. Female fighters basically do not vary in body type, so it's easy to take one look and determine that it's all bull*hit.
The Alyssa vs Jack debate is unwinnable. They could've decided that Alyssa is made of heavy metal or Jack is made with some sort of nanotechnology mumbo-jumbo, but they didn't for some reason. That reason is what interests me. Why did they choose to make the difference in their weight so stark? I can understand them wanting Jack to be a huge, heavy piece of junk, that's his whole vibe. But why is Alyssa another slender, delicate in weight female fighter? They had a choice to make her weight maybe not 400 kg, but at least 100 kg and they didn't. Whatever explanation in-universe isn't the explanation I'm looking for - it doesn't exist, y'know. Tekken isn't real. But the ideas in the creators' heads and reasons behind them, their inspirations do exist. And the effects their artistic decisions have on the consumers of the media also exist. That's why I care and why I ponder these decisions - I'm a rational consumer of art in all forms. Including a silly fighting game. You didn't have to interact with my comment if you don't care what content various media pushes onto you. That's your issue, not mine.
Would be nice to see xiaoyu incorporate some moves from her grandpa Wang style Xing Yi Liu He Quan
OK, now they have a slightly realistic weight and height compared to the previous Tekken version where I think the height and weight are too far apart when compared to the real world.

Chinese kempo is just another way of saying Kung-Fu, which is a catch all term for all Chinese martial arts.
Feng Wei's style is a fictional style based on Hung Ga. I have no idea why it's listed as Tai Chi.
It’s always crazy to me how they speak to each other their own language despite not knowing if the other can even understand only to get a response in a different language and being like 👍🏽. That would require each fighter to know each other’s language. A requirement to even join The King of Iron Fist Tournament. You must know All languages.
I find it hilarious that Alisa is listed as Russian but only speaks Japanese. Same with Xiaoyu being Chinese and speaks only Japanese.
I guess it kinda makes sense for Alisa though because you can change her language settings, but I'm probably giving Tekken enough props for that because it's probably not true 😂

Second. Zafina is from Egypt, as I remember the Tekken Lore.
Third. Devil Jin has the similar height and weight as Jin(weight may be a little bit more that Jin's weight).

Apparently they’re just put like that to keep the characters mysterious in a way. Harada has fully confirmed that Zafina is from Egypt but that the unknown nationality is to add to her mysterious nature.
Unless the game is basing characters off their fighting stances and not standing straight, reina is not that short

Well, Peru, like Brazil or Mexico, is very diverse and is not so out of place, except for the face that is almost a standard in action girls like Jill Valentine or Lara Croft, the other features do fit very well, especially the hair and skin tone. She is not the average, but girls 1.70 tall is not a rarity either (especially if she is a fighter), in the capital and in the north of Peru there are girls with much whiter skin than her. What is perhaps not so typical of Peru is the issue of coffee (which is something more from Colombia).
