- If the NHL season ended today, the Maple Leafs would host the Senators in the first round of the playoffs for the first time since 2004. Would the Battle of Ontario be a dream playoff matchup? TSN Hockey analysts Frankie Corrado and Cheryl Pounder join Domino's That's Hockey to discuss.
It’s a good time to be a sens fan ( I’m a leafs fan) if Ulmark can get back to his self and Ottawa can add another top 6F they can be scary . There getting better every year, there one superstar away from being a contender .
I don’t know.. honestly, if they get healthy, with Ulli, I think they can make some noise in the playoffs.
It’s a good time to be a leafs fan too.
lol they are a contender
@ no there not . Not to far off they need another top 6 F, and another top 4 D then they will be
@@Thegentelmansclub929I think he means Toronto is.
Lol ok TSN. The leafs are "we" and the sens are "they". Good job Toronto Sports Network
You've gotta appeal to the fans. Ottawa... Sorry, I meant the future Quebec Nordiques, don't have any fans. So why bother trying to pander to them?
Frankie played for toronto. Also I think it's actually called The Sports Network. Unless they've changed it recently
You don’t have any fans plus it’s Ottawa, it’s dead. Theres nothing there. Cry little kid 😂
So?
LEAFS RULE
Cbj and Detroit are looking legit as well. It’s going to fun to watch it unfold. Gsg!
it would be a dream match-up for Ottawa and a nightmare for Toronto.
Just like last time huh?
No it wouldn’t . Toronto would win but it would be a heck of a series . Tkachuk would be a nightmare in payoffs
@@red3here you mean 21 years ago before there was a salary cap vs toronto, one of the highest grossing teams at the time? It's a completely different league now. That old series means absolutely nothing.
@@red3herenone of those players who played on those teams are currently playing in the NHL, Ottawa is way faster and way better defensively, Sens in 6
@@red3here completely different teams... in fact, Toronto became more like the Sens of the past and Ottawa became more like Pat Quinn's Leafs.
It'll be interesting just to see 2 Eastern Canadian teams in the postseason even if they don't face each other in a playoff series.
Leaf fans would be blaming the refs by the 2 minute mark of game 1.
Naw.
Yeah it would be but if I’m leafs Tkachuck in his first playoffs would be a handful . If Ulmark gets back he can be a difference make as well . I would take Toronto in 6, but a hell of a series . Toronto’s offence I think would be the difference maker and there goaltending
Sens would absolutely own them. Hands down.
LOL funny.
7 home games for the leafs, no thanks not fair for Ottawa.
7? I’ll give you 4 and all 4 Leaf fans leave disappointed.
@@deltagolavista1nope.
True I forgot leafs have home ice in ottawa as well lol. It would be awesome if they met in the playoffs I remember the 4 times they met years ago man what a fun time that was
Any team that comes out of that 1st round will have many players injured
Not necessarily.
Sens beat the Leafs in 3. AND EVERY SINGLE MAPLE LEAF FAN KNOWS IT.
Wouldn’t happen in the playoffs tho.
It would be generous to say the Leafs may win 3 games in that series.
More than 3 lol.
@red3here Ottawa is waaaaay better, more scoring depth and most important a waaaaay bigger heart, we all know Queefs play without heart, proven by their past 7 playoff appearances.
Lol naw bro. Leafs get home ice throughout sens Leafs series lol .
@James-fd2gg we will dominate. We are the Alpha team.
@docriley7837 as much as I want to agree with you man and say we would whoop their ass I don't want to eat my words later on I don't want to get greedy LOL I know that Ottawa has given Toronto a very hard time during the regular season anything is possible in the playoffs. If they do me I just hope that our buds are fucking healthy
Lol the sens have been on a playoff spot for less than a month and their fans wont stop talking again…
What do you expect when it’s been so long? You’d do the same if it were your team. We haven’t been good since the 2016-2017 season
Just like how Leaf fans say every year is their year only to choke in the 1st round 🤣
@@aloneantsno one says that nice try tho.
@@aloneantssens fans win a few games and come out the woodwork now lol
why would us Sens stop talking about it? It's been forever since we've been in a playoff spot
Ottawa are coming for Toronto in the Atlantic!! Just two points back. Sens have four in a row in the Battle Of Ontario. They’ve got their number.
Would absolutely love to see the first Sens/Leafs playoff match up in 20 years and then see the Sens crush them and eliminate them. Leaf fans would go crying into their pillows, it would be amazing!!
😂🤩😁
6 now and that ain’t happening nice try tho gonna be 8 on Saturday.
Leafs should win it this year, it's a team suggests to win it.
Of course they will well if it were to happen.
@@red3here so ur saying if it happens, they can?
@@cantControlLifeyes.
Don’t look now Toronto but the Sens are coming!!!
They aren’t catching Toronto.
@@red3here2 points back
@@red3hereHahahahaha you’re a freaking idiot!!! Sens are literally two points back of Toronto and they’re playing way better hockey than them right now. They just beat them too.
There’s a very good chance they’ll catch and pass them.
LOOK NOW.
@@mike550 tough 3 games for send this week
Leafs and Senators will be a great pillow fight, looking forward to it.
No such thing as Battle of anymore, it’s frowned upon along with the two key ingredients passion and emotion. NHL is image focused and so are the players, some players make sure they are seen entering the rink in trendy designer clothing carrying a Venti Mocha Frappuccino Macchiato latte. No passion anymore just image. Even after a staged sweater grabbing disagreement, players make sure to tap each other’s butt and say good dance hope i didn’t break your fingernail
You know what Cherry would say about that thumbnail? Hey! Seperate those two before they start hugging each other
Wouldn't that be something Tampa and Boston OUT of the Playoffs ... It could REALLY happen this season it would be FANTASTIC ...Loll
Leafs beat ulmark in playoffs game 2 and they would have won the series if they kept putting him in net
Leafs in 6 if they meet the sens
Sens are waaay better defensively, and waaaaay quicker too, better tenders, Leafs will be doing their traditional walk of shame all the way to the golf course if these 2 teams meet in the 1st round.
@ Ottawa has never and will never defeat the mighty maple leafs in the playoffs
@@modernhistory8978 Sens in 5
@@modernhistory8978 were gonna pass you in the standings too not sure if you lady's will even make the playoffs this year.
@@docriley7837nope.
As a Sens fan. I want nothing to do with the Leafs
this would be the year you beat us.
Good.
@@robertnassrallah6762 why are you gay?
@@docriley7837don’t be mean.
@red3here dont be gay
I would love to see the Sens spank the Leafs. Put them to shame knowing the Leafs couldn't do it. Ullmark healthy, With Leevi or Forseberg as back up, Look out boys. You will be surprised!.
lol not happening.
Until toronto peoves they can win i woukdnt guve them the benefit over any team. They were up 3-1 against last seed montreal in the bubble and lost.
This year is different.
Leafs suck
Standings says otherwise.
@ is that what they’ve been saying since 1967?
@@red3here 2 points behind now 🙂
@@MarkR1111nope but facts are facts…..and who’s they?
@@aloneantsclosest they will ever get.
Another first round loss for the leafs
Just like last time in 2004? Yea nope.
@ bro said 2004
@@Cboyer0915yea so?
Sens might as well pack their bags and save the embarassment
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 explains why u lost twice to us this season 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@ Look at their playoff history head to head bud
@@FirewagonHockeyit’s a different time now
@@FirewagonHockey look at playoff series wins in salary cap era bud
Only a different time when it ships your narrative huh. What's with 1967 thrown at a team who weren't even born yet. Cant have your cake and eat it too. The leafs kept first place injured to shit. Just lost it but now we're healthy again and we're coming for the top of the Atlantic again.
