I have one the same one, and it's great when it's running! Luckily parts are dirt cheap and I was able to get mine up to 72MPH. But if anyone is planning on getting one make sure you carry spare parts, for example, fuel lines, spark plug, CDI, coil and wire and of course tools. Last week mine went out at 1am and I spent 5 hours in a 711 parking lot rewiring and changing parts. I'm done with it lol
I see used Vespas locally for 1/2 the price of new. Used Vespas are usually cream puffs too, garage kept, meticulously maintained, rarely ridden, and NEVER abused. Of course even at 1/2 price used Vespas are still double what thier new chinese counterparts can be had for. In my book Vespas are absolutely worth it if you know that you like riding.

Lot People like the look of the bike, and suprisingly some big bike riders like it also, It is a fast around town, on ramp, off ramp bike. Riders can get an ass whoop'n thinking a scooter makes a person a punk thoe, surprise is a mother. Even so, thanks for the info. I will look online for more information to learn what to maintain on the bike.

I was going to buy this scooter to keep at our vacation house just to put around town. That's I was checking reviews. I'm interested in spending 9K on a Vespa so this Chinese one caught my eye because of the look. Still, your review is interesting and gives me factors to consider.

Sounds like a bad town I would move if an environment was occupied by hateful gangs that hurt your pride. Its wrong area for a classy Vespa looking scooter you loved the design do not let gang men hurt your good taste maybe get a mentor there. Your just a motorcycle guy you like the power and response, the Vespa company makes like Honda but its a style more than a speeder, understand? In your story, the violence for being on a scooter is the most worrying its a serious thing when streets are not safe for the stylish, truly horrifying to me who never leaves Metropolis. thank you for sharing I'm buying the real Vespa not this
Never buy a cheap Chinese scooter unless you are a skilled mechanic and like to tinker with your vehicle constantly. If you look at it as a project, you can have fun with one, but you can never depend on it for reliable transportation.
I had the same problem with a ghost back in 1987 i was driving my 1954 chevy Bellaire in the middle of the day all of a sudden my car made a big sound on the engine and as soon as I pulled over the car turned off so I stood on the sidewalk and I see this guy walking toward me he was about 3 or four blocks away and I turn somewhere else for a second and poom he was like 29 feet away from me well short story it turn out to be my friend he committed suicide about 2 months before this happened when I saw that it was jose my friend I started Shaking and scared so i ask him what ate you doing here he smiled at me and said that he was just walking around the world and he told me we will see each other again so I got in my car started the car it turned on and I went home as soon an I got home I had very high fever and one day that I went to see Mt grandma grave I was walking and just like that I found his grave I didn't know we were he was buried
You got a scooter that you ended up hating. Things like that happen and its all right. You want/got rid of it. Also alright. You wanted and got a crotch rocket. Still perfectly alright. Not owning up to it, that's where we break from alright. Just own it.
That's a creepy story about the kid and then your headlight blowing at the same stop. I don't think you gave the scooter a fair shake. These China bikes with the GY6 will run forever. Everything else sucks, but easy fixes. It's for folks looking for cheap fun. I ride motorcycles but that's totally different. Besides, what else can you get that looks this cool for less than 2 grand new? AND you can ride it to the store! Vespa doesn't even make a scoot that looks like this anymore. That also sucks about the assholes throwing trash at you. That's why I carry a weapon.
