i like the second technique when holding it by the spear tip especially when you duck down for wait ( agachon ) once you get to the bottom you just have to back up and grab your speargun by the handle all though some people just hold it by the handle they don't hide it and that does not stop them from catching fishes pathos spearguns are part of the best spearguns on the market (best looking too) thanks for sharing nice video

Great share! Just way too much hands on the top of the gun where the shaft is. Be careful in case of misfires (which DO happen). If that happens and your hands are on top of the gun it can REALLLY injure the fingers. Keep fingers and hand under gun at all times if possible. Other than that, Great tips!!!

Dont like having the spear tip behind any part of my body, especially my head (as in the second dive). This is a poor choice, and is inviting an accident.
Secondly, I dont subscribe to the theroy that fish are calmer when they cant see the gun. Fish dont know what a gun is, anymore than they know what you are. For all they know, the gun is food, a stick, or a part of your body. It should not spook them anymore than your presence already does.
Whatever works for you and you are comfortable with is your own choice, but please reconsider any gun placement that has the pointy end behind any part of you.

Well.. the tip is not behind anything as described in the video.. its NEXT to my body not behind..
The fish don't know the gun.. i agree.. but as i was saying it see you as big object and the fish will keep a certain distance between it and the object.. so if you hide it you'll cut the speargun length from the fish "safe" distance and since its coming closer it should be a better shot..

Most spearfishers agree that limiting your profile really does help in being stealthy. I think it is important to keep in mind that a lot depends on where in the world you are hunting. I can think of many places where spearfishing is much easier than other locations because fish have not yet adapted to spearo's. However if you are familiar with hunting in places like the Mediterranean Sea you will soon notice that the slightest disturbance spooks away fish and that every advantage you might gain while stalking is worthwhile to consider!
However the duck dive shown in the video is also not the greatest example of silence.

the second dive duck es very dangerous lot of accident happen for this way to dive. DONT DO IT
i feel like the second method is not very safe, because in case the trigger system failed and caused the shaft to release, it will pass right next to the head or neck .
As long as it is not shooting me i am fine with it :)
I find it more comfortable to dive this way.. But sure you can the best way you want ;)

Holding the end of the muzzle and putting it beside you (technique 2), looks awfully dangerous. At some point - it is not hard to conceive that the loaded gun could be pointing to your head or upper torso.
I have to agree here, this is asking for a spear through the bottom of your jaw. Even holding the gun by the handle upside down is too close for comfort for me if it's a smaller gun

I agree with Victor. Sudden dives will only alert the fish or earn the interest of sharks. I know. Dive slowly and carefully. No need for fancy moves. You are only going to kill fish

it has the same handle as the stealth which is a copy from a another great speargun from the 90s sporasub viper extreme which was the first speargun using a rail to be commercialized south africans have made an heavy duty version of it more appropriate for bluewater hunting
they are the rabitech stealth and the apex makko uses the very same handle
This is ridiculous. Look at the dive, the spear is facing his chin. The gun might jam and release the spear straight into your head. The speargun should never be loaded and be that close to your head. Always have the spear pointing away from you. Note- the fish has no idea what a speargun is so don't be fooled that they will swim away because of the speargun.
Official Shark Page first of all fuck off.. second, my speargun lined with my arm on the side.. unless my chin is on the outer part of my shoulder then its not aiming to my head and yes its not dangerous,, third thing if you would suspect your speargun would misfire then you shouldn’t buy it.. put your money on serious high quality gear AND keep the maintenance regularly..
regarding the fish will not go away because of the speargun.. well you definitely need more experience in spearfishing.. fish always keep a safe distance and yes you can fool it by keeping the speargun close to you and aim it in its safe distance :)

thank you so much for this video. not seen any like it so far. from a marketeer point of view, there are many topics you can cover to make great tutorials and even better viewership. if you noticed, this video made 79k views, 7 times more than any of your other posts. i personally was looking for ways to stablize breathing while free diving, discovering how much weight you need to make diving easier and safer, loading a spear gun, how to kick with fins the right way, and other things that you know and is a master of. give it a thought.
Hahahahha! A sea gypsy (badjao people) will laugh at your bs. They also hunt fish to earn a living. I saw them 'walking' on the sea bed always pointing their spearguns never hiding them under their bodies. They also dive carefully and slowly to keep the attention of sharks away. The fish does not know what a speargun is so there is no point in 'hiding' it beneath you and taking a prone position as if you are going to an underwater war.
I just saw the badjao spearos on you tube... are you stupid to compare modern spearos to them? Did you see what fish they catch? Even a blind man can catch them!! What an idiot.. for sure you know nothing about spearfishing

+Ahmad Abbas I've got a question, i have recently started spearfishing, a lot of the guys i go with hold the rubber and the gun while its loaded, even though there is a lock im worried it might fire and break or damage a finger. Do you think that is a risk?

If it shoots the rubbers will not harm you
There is metal on the end of mine... I broke my nail because my first shot i used my other hand to stabilize, it did not go well.

Those dives are a little too erratic lmao, any even remotely careful fish will be gone before you even do the “duck dive”
No it won’t.. i spreafished for wahoo, Dogtooth, snappers, groupers and many fish.. its a perfect duck dive if you perform it correctly. Just be silent while you do it
True, if you dive deep it doesnt matter much, but snapper/grouper at around 30 feet of water are super spooky lol, I just raise one of my legs above the water and let it slowly sink me. Anyways great video, and thank you for for the english subtitles 👍👍😉
