If you'd really add just a single ore, imagine people running armorless (unless they find the chain armor) with wooden/stone tools and that one guy who has a Iron Shovel.

An iron shovel is 3 damage a wooden sword is 4 damage

instead of making a ton of sets of armor, you can repair your armour using diamond gems (if diamond armor). put both into an anvil, armor first and then the gem and it will repair the durability
Can we admit that TapL can survive until the very last sec in all of his UHC minecraft video but then die in the final battle but got the enemy's hp very low

UHC but there’s only one crafting table and no one else can make one
Reminds me a little of a server I used to play on 8 years (?) ago.
There were 2 places to get resources from. A giant tree thingy (i.e. 50x50 or so wooden column rising into the sky) and a mine thingy (a big block of stone and ores that would reach deep into the floor) and every hour one of the two would be refreshed, the entire server would go there and get a lot of unnecessary resources. Also for some reason PvP was enabled there. Really fun times.
