Started a week after my 16th birthday, almost 3 months in. Ive seen way better results than most people on youtube like yourself. Not that its a contest just letting people know it works. But most people my age lack DHT which helps to darken/thicken the hair. Coincidentally i take a supplement called creatine that is know to increase DHT, i cant say forsure that its helped with growing a beard but you should definitely give it a try.
I stopped using minoxidil after 1 week because I have serious side effects like chest pain, dizziness and fast heartbeat and difficulty in breathing (especially when I'm sleeping) it was not pleasant at all.
still don't get why 18 is the magic safety barrier, it sounds stupid because for one example, let's say it's midnight and you're about to turn 18. you're saying it like you immediately become immune to the side effects, which obviously sounds stupid. the reason they require you to use it at 18 is because they haven't tested it on people under 18, therefore the proof of extreme side effects under 18 is minimal to none. i'm 17 and i've been using it since january, literally no side effects at all.
@@AmericanLegendd purely anecdotal. You would need a larger sample size. Actual experiments etc. It's a liability issue. You'll probably understand when you're older.
Just ordered some rogaine foam and Kirkland liquid I'm gonna use liquid to get myself some more baby hairs on my cheek and foam to keep it growing, I imagine the liquid will go deeper to my follicles
@@rebrandftw ofcourse, after using the liquid minoxidil for a few months I swapped back to foam and instantly saw an improvement, way more hairs on my face, so I decided to stick with the foam, my chin is very hairy, I have a mustache and my neck is very hairy but I make sure to shave it constantly so the foam doesn't get waisted on hair follicles, my cheeks are full of baby hairs and I recently started getting thicker hairs growing on my cheeks finally, my sideburns go right down to my jaw and it all looks connected either by baby hairs or thick hairs
@@nabila.1967 I was 17 when I ordered it I'm now almost 19, it has worked really, I basically have the shell of a full beard, it fills more and more every week, it's taking longer for my cheeks however under my chin and along my jawline and my sideburns are very full, everywhere has velus hair so it's really just a matter of time before I have a real full beard

Hey that's great! If I knew this stuff existed at 18 I would have done the same. Whether you're 18, 20, or 30, it's just important to keep your health as the most important thing I think 👍🏻😁
hey so i have a quick question... i’ve heard that using minoxidil can accelerate male pattern baldness but the thing is, male pattern baldness doesn’t run in my family & i’m 18 using minoxidil while taking biotin & collagen supplements to speed the growth of my facial hair journey & also have my skin looking the best it could possibly look... should i worry about male pattern baldness? should i continue my journey? love your vids btw
Hey thanks! So I'm not an expert on MPB, but I don't think it will accelerate it. I think that has more to do with genetics and DHT levels than minoxidil!
thanks to this video now I'm already relieved that using minoxidil at the age of 19 should not be allowed for me and I should wait 3 years for me to grow one. can't wait to have a bearded jawline with an itchy neck.
So in the box it says you should constantly always be using minoxidil for your hair to stay. So what if I already have my full beard and I decide to stop using it, will my beard automatically fall out and never grow again? I’m 18 btw
from what ive seen from multiple youtube videos and reddit post most say you wont lose that hair. However most recommend to continue taking for at least 6 months to a year before you stop using the product just to be safe and you dont lose those gains. Goodluck man
I will ask you something my friend he want to use the minoxidil for his head so he won’t ask you what he gonna take the liquid or foam or doesn’t matter I hope you understand it.
Yeah I agree some 15 year olds a searching about it I'm 17 so I'm gonna do it hopefully to help me get a fuller beard quicker when I'm 20 I'd probably have a patchy one so I'd rather get a patchy one now and let tat build into a full one once I'm 20
My puberty started at 17, my mustache started growing at 12, my goatee started at 19 few months ago. So don't rush and waste money on products that can course diseases. BE PATIENT.
No diseases my friend! It can have side effects, but no diseases :) Most people using minoxidil haven't been as lucky as you are, and they're somewhere in their 20s or 30s and haven't even gotten the moustache you had at 12, you know? But patience is key, I agree there!
nah man you’re a little too young... wait until you’re 18/19 & if you really have the urge of having a beard then start no fap, get biotin supplements, exercise, drink a lot of water, & get sleep... another thing i would recommend is rubbing jamaican castor oil on the parts where you want growth & brush with a brush with soft bristles to promote blood flow... remember, it’s all about blood flow
Minoxidil was originally created as a heart medication to decrease blood pressure, when you apply it on your face it is still absorbed into the blood stream from through the skin,
@@ToBeardAndBeyond i hit pubert at 14 just started using foam minoxidil and i´m 15 about to turn 16 been using for about 9 weeks and i see a lot of lil hairs
I'll make a video about it soon! Essentially, DHT is Dihydrotestosterone and is really bad for your head hair. It binds to hair follicles and causes male pattern baldness. That's why a lot of lotions have DHT blockers or inhibitors, so that it slows the balding process. However, DHT is important for growing beards, so you don't wanna block it! DHT is the reason why guys who have killer beards are often bald.

DHT is known to have other side effects, such as causing and accelerating male pattern baldness, so be careful with that.
Dht is the cause
