does it give you a better bee from fusion if you have the gen 3 upgraded to the max before you fuse them

you can put any 3 bees into the fusion to get a Gen1 egg, hatching Gen1 bee has better chance to get good stats than a Gen3 bee. the upgrade of the bees not have any influence in the fusion process.
