What a lovely day for a run and she seems to be going along nicely. It certainly brought back a few memories. You really have got the knack of this editing etc. Good work.
Don't mind you saying at all Ian. I'd prefer the engine noise myself but, (there's always a but) I still haven't conquered the dreaded Gopro wind noise problem. Anything above 20 M.P.H. and everything is inaudible. Probably a more recent camera might help. I'm currently only on a Hero 4 Silver. Must update soon!
@@AlistairCampbell1047cc I must say after the first mins I found my head and phone tilting from side to side, that much the other half thought I had vertigo.i must say the work you have done on her is really paying off. I bet your feet is well up today. Thanks again alister.
Nice video. Can`t wait to get my XJ on the road. Unfortunatly the roads here in Denmark are very salty, and i don`t think that salt and a nice old Yamaha is a good combination :-(
You're right, not a good combination. There was some salt on the road when I made the video but it has rained here all day so hopefully that'll wash it all away.
Such a beautiful bike. And it looks like you had a very nice debut run. I got myself an XJ900F just two days ago. It's my very first motorcycle. Still waiting for the license plate to come in, but can't wait to ride it. Mine isn't in such great condition as yours, I will need to polish up some parts, maybe replace the windshield... we'll see what else. For now I'm tinkering with very minor stuff. I tried setting the clock, but the buttons don't do anything. Any tips?
Thanks for your comments. I'm sure you'll have a great time with your XJ. They're very reliable and not too difficult to work at. Fortunately there's plenty of advice on UA-cam if you get stuck. Enjoy!
The bike rides perfectly. A very good thing is that you keep your old bikes in the original condition and you don't disfigure them making cafe-racers or scramblers or other shit of the same kind.
JCF69700, I take your point, the music is certainly pretty 'funky'. The main reason for adding any music is because once you hit thirty MPH or above, all you get is a constant wind noise. I still haven't managed to cure that particular problem. I'm using a Gopro Hero 4 and I think I have fairly limited options with regard to sound. Hope it didn't detract too much from the content. Thanks for commenting.

A few familiar roads.
another great video - nice music, but, if you don't mind me saying, i found myself longing to hear the bike engine instead.

You had a big chrin on allister. Love the music. Well done.
Thanks Eddie, I thought you might enjoy a few of those sweeping bends! The auld girl can still motor on rightly.

No bother Eddie, I actually have an old Technika 32" TV for a PC monitor and when I sit close to it my head spins also. Good crack!

Yeah, standard is best.
interesting music, but which is however not worth that of the 4 cylinders

Alistair....muzic off !
I don’t understand why you put the annoying music in, we wanted to hear the bike.
