    Listening to these men being emotional and vulnerable is something our society needs more of. These are two of the most respected men in the industry, and they're setting the example that its okay to be real and raw. I've always loved and respected Phil, but this was something special.

    I enjoyed part one but part two is fantastic. It's the clearing of the air that was a long time coming. Champion mentality from both these guys and its no wonder they wrote history in the sport. It's great to see Phil coming to terms with the aspects of his career that were eating at him, address them and close the door on them. He would have little to gain from a comeback. He will go down as one of the greats and he has got out with his reputation and health intact. I feel happy for him, he should just kick back and focus on his passion projects from here on.

    Thanks for this Hany. Always had respect for Phil and the way Generation Iron did him IS dirty. Phil is a great person and he doesn’t get enough credit for what he’s done for bodybuilding. The most misunderstood and one of the most genuine guys in bodybuilding.

    Best Phil interview ever awesome relationship between the 2. People have no clue what champs like him go through and so naïve to just think it was handed to him. Being at that film and hearing people say that about you hurt and Phil fueled it to be the best. 👏👏

    I absolutely love when Phil does interviews with hany. It’s his true self. I’ve never been the biggest Phil heath fan because I always thought he was cocky and arrogant. Partly due to generation iron but even after so. Even recently on the modern wisdom (Chris Williamson) podcast. But Hany keeps him humble.

      @@HatchetHarry12 well first of all you don’t know what I have won or not won, but regardless there have been 17 other Mr. Olympia winners? Phil and Arnold have been the only cocky and arrogant ones. I’ve listened to every film. every podcast that there is, I’ve seen every interview/podcast, every speech he’s made. I follow the sport like most Americans follow football so I have a pretty good understanding of how he acts at least on camera, and this is the only interview of him where he’s been, pleasing and humble. I enjoyed this podcast. However, you might be his best friend and know him personally, so maybe you know more than I do.

    • @HatchetHarry12
      @HatchetHarry12 2 місяці тому

      @@mjdean89 if you say youve listened to every interview and podcast of Phil, then you're lying because Phil always shows humility. Also whats arrogant to you, is recognising the shadow self to someone else. Clearly havent listened to Phils interviews with Lewis Howes or Mylett - where he discusses the reasoning behind his knickname 'dream killer' - yeah you deffo havent won anything on an elite level....furthermore - showing arrogance outwardly does not make someone not humble inwardly (to be a 7x champ takes incredible humility like missing 13 summers in a row, missing bdays, family etc.

    Great interview guys. Really enjoyed it. You can tell the hurt Phil had from the people that pushed him to be the best. Everything in life is such a double edge sword. That negativity made phil just that much better. I feel he still had part of his heart hardened by these events. You can tell when it's brought up the way he talks is totally different. Praying one day he finds peace in all the people that did him wrong or tried to turn him into a bad guy. Using motivation from hatred and trying to put it to good works great but their are problems that come with it. (Personal experience). Hany is such a good person you can tell when Phil gets all amp'd up Hany is a voice of reason and calming. I notice Hany isn't nervous to tell phil the truth. Pretty awesome relationship you guys have and is a huge reason for the success.

    I enjoy when Phil and Hany do interviews together; it reveals Phil's true character. Although I wasn't the biggest fan of Phil Heath before, thinking he was cocky and arrogant, especially because of Generation Iron, recent podcasts like the one with Chris Williamson have changed my mind. Hany seems to keep Phil humble. Props to Hany for that. I've always respected Phil, and Generation Iron's portrayal of him was unfair. Phil deserves more credit for his contributions to bodybuilding. He's often misunderstood, yet one of the most genuine guys in the sport.

He just had that Vibe & stage dominance. Even if you preferred others over him.. he brought that aggressive energy to the stage! That self-belief & confidence was like no other!
