People talk like it's a totally new thing, maybe in the Western world. But here in Africa there many people practicing this not only for a couple of years but even throughout their youthful years until they'd finally get married i.e still in their youthful years! So it's more than definitely possible.

i've listening to a few interview and haven't read the book. I 100% with why they decided to "wait" but nobody seems to talk the bottom line, which i believe is that if you are Christian no sex before marriage is a lifestyle because it's about pleasing God and that's that and you have a choice, do you want to please God and live according to His standard do you wanna live life on your own term?
+Pesi Belau I have seen almost all of their interviews pertaining to this book. They have spoken of God. Just not in every interview. Perhaps they were asked not to mention it. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened either. They have spoken about doing it God's way and not their way.

I wish I waited till I was married. I went along w the crowd and I regret it. I didn’t take being in obedience seriously at that time. This is awesome!!!! I pray this will continue to inspire anyone if they r still a virgin and serving the Lord...that this will inspire them to wait. They r a very good looking Christian couple.
I totally agree with most of what you said. However, After getting to know someone I dont believe marriage has to be the next step. Marriage is supposed to be forever, and sexual compatibility is one of the key elements to making it work.

I truly think it helps to build trust in each other. It also teaches discipline in the relationship. It help developes a mature relationship.
No this practice of celibacy before married is not something that is new but it is something that people rarely practice anymore. People have lost the real focus of why and how we are suppose to carry ourselves. If your with someone and don't even know what he or she does and does not in life, then you shouldn't continue to waste your time.

I did it because it's pleasing to God, and longer than that.
You know I really hate it when people do this... I didn’t think Oprah would be that kind of person, I can’t help but feel differently about her now. When Meagan said, god spoke to her... Oprah said what does that sound like- *deepens voice* “Meagan you must get out of the relationship”. She was being sarcastic & making it seem like a Joke. Just Bc people don’t understand it for themselves, they kind of knock it down, by being sarcastic! When you start to develop a real deep relationship with God, the way you react to things changes.. you learn to stay calm & still & during those moments, you will know when God is speaking to you. It’s not a loud voice in the sky the way Oprah jokes about.. It can be a certain song that means something to you, that comes on.. or you come across a bible verse or a certain quote or prayer. Or you have a dream or all of a sudden get this thought or feeling that doesn’t leave you. It’s a question everyone wants to know, even I have been there. But there are ways to ask about it!! Not the way Oprah did. The other thing that bothers me, is why people make fun of their celibacy. “How are you going to drive the car without test driving it” for one, they became celibate... they weren’t virgins! For two, these grown women, Middle aged women have been the ones to ask this question.. it’s quite pathetic! True love, unconditional love, is not sex! If they are married & asking this question, what they really need to be doing, is focusing on themselves & why they don’t understand this! When you truly love someone & have a real love for them, being with them intimately could never be bad! This world is so screwed up... people make fun & jokes about the people who will wait, until they are married.. people think that’s weird. But here you have women & men, who are with different people all the time, will have kids with them & who will end up with multiple children from multiple people & never marry, then end up with an entirely different person ... but that’s normal, no one questions that or jokes about that. This world is so messed up.
Meagan & her husband are amazing people, they stand up for what they believe in!! Peoples opinions mean nothing to them... they are serving & living for God! Everyone can learn a thing or two from them ! 🙏🏻✞May God Bless them always 🕊

If sex is not important during the stages preceeding marriage, outside of reproduction why is it important or necessary after? It sounds like they both had sex in prior relationships and overvalued it.
You totally missed the POINT! There's more to people than just going to bed. And when you're looked at as just a fuck-box, that can lead to low self esteem, which then leads to a whole other set of problems.. Learning a person outside of the bed, and loving them for who they are outside of the bed, and growing into each other outside of the bed, is what the POINT is. The bed is gonna be there.
BEAST MOED Both devon and meagan publicly stated many times in other interviews that they basically weren't virgins. Outside of reproduction, sex is super important within a marriage. It's an expression of love and intimacy and it's a Holy thing that brings glory to God. However, sex can bring about many troubles when it's done w/the wrong person at the wrong time. You can become physically dependent to someone who may not be any good for you. You may be more willing to deal w/annoying traits that you otherwise wouldn't deal w/had you not had sex w/that particular person.
I hear what you are saying, but do you suddenly become the right person after your married. Marriage doesnt change who you are or your values. If a person deals with someone's shortcomings just because of the sex, then the sex is what they value not the person. I personally believe sex is better when you appreciate a person enough that his or her annoying traits doesn't outweigh their positives. That appreciation should come before sex, and possibly progress into marriage. I am not against waiting nor do I suggest rushing into sex. I do feel that marriage is a more important commitment than sex,
And shouldn't be rushed into without the relationship being solid on all levels. #no divorce
BEAST MOED Exactly. You don't suddenly become a new person just because you get married. The words, "I do", aren't some magic words that just instantly change who you are or what your habits are. Practicing the wait does not mean that you just passively doing nothing while the time passes. You use this time to allow God to change your old of thinking so that you can form new behaviors, which turns into new habits. You use this time to evaluate yourself and see what it is that you can work on.

Jeremiah 23 v 1 read that last time i watch both of them a woman in the audience commented about her dress code and the husband he says he is a pastor of who people and compromising on the word of God the bible talks about a women of God should dress modestly and if u are a child of God you cannot be any how ,a lot of people who say they are in christ ,say Lord but their heart is far from him, having a form of Godliness but dening the power there of ,my people perish at lack of knowledge we as children of the most high God must have certain caractaristics ,we have to speak truth because Jesus is the way the truth and the life and not to compromise the word of God dont add or take away as a minister wife she suppose to present her body as a living sacriface but be not confound to this world but her mind have to be transform be renewed by the word of God no compromising non at all
Wow. Reading the comments are amazing especially the huge argument with 44 and Naturally or whatever. Plain and simple, both have a point, but Devon was answering a question that this lady asked. And in fact, he does preach that it's a sin in other interviews that him and Meagan did with other people. This is only part of it. So check your facts before trying to appear holier than thou. Also it's a sin to have too much religion and too much wisdom because then you become fools. Don't believe me, check the Bible as it was quoted so much as the backup to why Devon is false or whatever was said. Gosh some people kills me, really. This shouldn't have been an argument. I also agree that the way Meagan dresses is kinda weird for me. Not to say she must dress like a church lady, no. But there's a different between class and showing some a**. Just saying. I just hope young Christians don’t copy her way of dressing and thing it’s acceptable to God. We as Christians should not just focus on surrendering the thing that is comfortable for us to submit to Christ. We are to submit all areas of our lives including our dressing.
