I found your video helpful, however I have heard of the 5 min break how do I place myself in this break during priority hours? I cannot find any mention of how to do this on the Cambly site. Thannks, Lisa

I recently got hired by CAMBLY and I am really excited and eager but I would like some orientation as to some things. Like how does scheduling work? How many hours a day can I work? Where can I get the lesson contents? Ect… any suggestions?

When creating your schedule, is the time US time? I understand that most of the students are from different countries and are in different times zone. Do they adjust their time? What if you're currently living in a different country and not in the US right now, do you still set your schedule to US time or local time of where you're at? I'm curious how that works. I hope you can answer this. Thank you in advance.
Hello! Tutors are able to edit their time zone in the Reservation Settings of their schedule. That way, no matter where you are in the world, you can set your availability to your local time. Students set their own time zone and will see your availability in their local time. Hope this helps!
Hi Megan 🙂 Cambly newbie here! Really useful and fun video - thank you. A couple of quick questions, please: if you've held a couple of slots for a regular student, and if they just accept one slot, but don't decline the other, how can I delete the lesson slot they haven't accepted?? I don't seem to be able to remove the remaining slot that says "student response pending". Is the student shown in the Cambly notification email how to decline it? Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi Nikki! If your student doesn't decline the invitation you can cancel it from your side. Just click on the proposed slot in your Reservations. You will see "I'll Be There" and a drop down menu for "I Can't Make It". You can click the X for "I Can't Make It" to erase the proposed class. If this option isn't working, you may want to contact Support so they can help you out: www.cambly.com/en/support

However, you won’t be able to take a 5-minute break if your students have reserved back-to-back chats with you. In that case, you’ll need to schedule some breaks for yourself. Personally, I like to take a 30-minute break every 2 hours or so but do what works best for you! 😊
for cambly kids now in 2023, are they able to book priority hours up to 2 hours in advance? I thought I read that somewhere or is there no way to list priority hours for cambly kids? thanks
Great question! Reservations made with you during your PH are automatically confirmed, whether it's from a CK student or a Classic Cambly student. PHs are not limited to reservations from CK students. Hope that helps!
@@CamblyTutors I applied for cambly kids and got approved, but didn’t finish my regular cambly application. i’d like to stay with kids for now. When I try to add priority hours, it prompts me to finish my regular cambly information, and i’m not able to open PH. Do I need to finish my regular cambly application to be able to open PH at all, even if ive been approved for kids? Thanks
Hi @sage1021, since both adults and kids are able to call you on a PH, tutors need to complete their regular Cambly profiles. (Our CK profiles are usually very much geared towards just children while Classic Cambly profiles are a different vibe.) If you wish to teach children only, it's completely okay to stay over on the CK side! 🙂 But please be aware that if any tutor is on a Priority Hour, adults have the ability to book/call as well. I hope that helps clarify things 🙏🏻

Correct! Just a little extra info too: sometimes kids will call using a Classic Cambly account (many families share their minutes) so you may get kids during your PH that are not CK members. PHs will produce all types of students! Have fun and happy tutoring!

I normally book PH's but haven't found even a 5 minute break anywhere? Each lesson runs straight into the next? or have a I missed something?
