A fishing string is attached from the antenna of radio to a brick a little away from frame and the mikky he is selling is different . The micky he used has a sort of little hook at back and while putting them to dance , he just keeps the micky on on the string which makes it straight in sir and onn radio vibrates and hence the dance.
I think that the radio somehow gives the mice a vibrating type of energy that causes them to move?...I mean, it sounds crazy but what other explanation could there be?...he wouldn't leave them there and turn the radio off, meaning he knew once the music stops, the dancing stops...so that means without the music there's no movement, and unless we live in a fantasy world, which we dont...the only logical explanation is the musics vibration is somehow attached to them like a string or something...there's no other possible way?
The crazy shit is that he doesn’t even have to scam me. He can just tell me how he attached it to the radio and I’ll still take ten and have them dancing on my desk while I work 😂😂

@VIRUS TERRITORY if you buy anything off a street performer or vender, be prepared to be scammed. There's a reason it's sold in the streets and not in a store front.
When the man told him to turn the radio off, the guy picked up mickey and minnie and did his thing THEN turned off the radio and replaced them to the ground. When he should have just turned off the radio lol
@9 Haunted Days Wrong. The feet are magnetic as well as a magnet is on the back. Gravity pulls the top half down but once it hits the repelling magnets attached to the feet, the repelling magnetic forces pushes it back up... It's pretty simple
@9 Haunted Days you are correct the guy telling you your wrong doesn’t know. I see these all the time it’s fishing wire on the radio antenna to the wall
Funny how he places them back in the same place for them to dance... Also, how he doesn’t just pick them up, but that he moves them in an “unhooking” motion. ...and how he doesn’t want anyone getting too close to where they are. A clear indicator that there’s a string.
I fell for this at a flea market.. bought 2 for $10.00 🤦♂️. It's a string that wraps around the radio and something else, then you have one end held to make them dance.
@@welshie2007 I think the string goes from the radio, to the left. He hooks mickey to the cable like clothes on a clotheline. The radio has a motor pulling the cable.
Back of the stereo is a round dial attached to the cassette motor when the radio is on the guy plays the motor at the back of the rotating disc there is a fishing line attached to the paper puppets it's a basic cam and wire trick
I saw someone selling these at the Ohio State Fair when I was very young. It’s stuck in my memory for a very long time and now I finally know what it is. Thank you!
Wooow. Now I got it! It's much simpler than I thought! It's a thin elastic line horizontally placed behind the figures and the radio. It's not the music that makes them dance It's the interaction between his first foward move, the elastic line and the wobbly legs. The line used must be those similar to birthday hats. Hope you understood what I tried to explain.
There is a thin moving wire attached to the radio 📻 at one end and other to something else outside the frame. He just hangs the mikie and minnie on the wire as we put cloths on wire and it just starts waving giving the dance effect.
What if instead of a wire it was weights at the feet and an air pocket at the top of their heads and the antenna blew out air from the end of it? Orrrrr, what if, when he slides the Micky and the mini infront of radio and what looks like down the antenna...maybe he is charging them up somehow with a magnetic current and maybe the frequency from the music which defers from that of just regular static or talk radio puts off a frequency that allows them to jiggy or "dance"?? Everyone is saying strings and fishing wire but what if it's not and that's what makes it such a good scam?!:)
@@KOHLKANE because then it would defeat the whole purpose of the scam. He's trying to make profit you see. And although the ideas you put out on the table sound cool, they aren't really that practical for the seller, who sells the dancing dolls for like 5 cents. A purpose of a scam is to sell trash by acting like it is not. What you described was not trash, it was just a straight up product. Still useless of course, but why would you make something that took 10 cents to create and sell it for 5?
How it works: the magnet on the back is placed attached at the top, and then placed on a string. The string is attached to a mechanism in the tape deck. When the player is on, the tape deck moves, the strings move, and Mickey and Minnie move too.
Uh, do you see a "tape deck" on that radio? They're connected to the antenna and the vibrations are what's causing them to bounce. You can literally see him hook them on the antenna. But, you definitely get an A for effort.
Every time he picks them up, there is a piece of wax with a string going up the wall, he picks them up, scrapes wax off, puts them down pushes wax on. The invisible string never stops moving. There is a gadget up top that is rotating and the string is moving that way.

Cant believe I’m going to admit this, but i fell for this back in 2009 when in Europe.

@@Varunic219 there is a bouncing wire running horizontally that he hooks them on to
@9 Haunted Days Wrong.
Poor Mickey and Minnie, have to do dance on the street to make a living nowadays. i miss the old days
But, you do know, that Minnie was fucking Goofy.. but Micky Mouse was a straight, up and up guy! 😂
It doesn't work on Friday or the Pokemon GO song
Only works with Despacito 2
No DON'T DO IT!!! If you make them dance on Despacito 2 these toys will be broken forever,.....
Does it work on Wednesday? 😏
Does it work on Despacito 2 3D version?

The smallest is a rock concert in a Petri dish.
I don’t even know what’s going on in the video 😂
What???
Strings attachment on the Minnie and Mickey, the guy has strings attachedsomewhere and the strings make em dance
Just skip it princess
@@welshie2007 I think the string goes from the radio, to the left. He hooks mickey to the cable like clothes on a clotheline. The radio has a motor pulling the cable.
@@FB0102 the vibration of the radio is what causes the paper cutouts to dance, hence why when turning off the radio, the dolls don't dance.
There is a nylon wire attached to the radio, vibrating make Topolino dance. Every boy in Italy knows the trick.
Back of the stereo is a round dial attached to the cassette motor when the radio is on the guy plays the motor at the back of the rotating disc there is a fishing line attached to the paper puppets it's a basic cam and wire trick
tanveer khan its magnets. No string needed
Jeff Ree it's not magnets I know people who used sell this gimmick in markets it's an old eastern Europe scam

The U2 jammin on the radio in the background is the best thing about this vid and all I really cared about honestly! 💯❤️
I heard it too! With or without you U2 song hahaha
Sorry U2 song- i stiil havent found what im looking for
KNOW I GET IT OH MY GOD THANK YOU 🙏 🙌

Wow, I was about to buy a ticket to Rome to sell out this perpetual motion device...
Thanks for the heads up!
There is a thin moving wire attached to the radio 📻 at one end and other to something else outside the frame. He just hangs the mikie and minnie on the wire as we put cloths on wire and it just starts waving giving the dance effect.
This is by far the most clear explanation.

@Kyle Hines I mean, if you get your own string and boombox mechanism...
What’s magnets have to do with hooking paper on a string?
Thank you! I had never seen this before and wasn’t sure what was even going on. The first section of the comments was so mean so I was afraid to ask 😿
Kinda seems like theres a string n the boom box is loud enough to shake the string. He just hangs the paper on the string.
Uh, do you see a "tape deck" on that radio? They're connected to the antenna and the vibrations are what's causing them to bounce. You can literally see him hook them on the antenna. But, you definitely get an A for effort.
My uncle is from Rome he always told us to watch out for these guys.
Every time he picks them up, there is a piece of wax with a string going up the wall, he picks them up, scrapes wax off, puts them down pushes wax on. The invisible string never stops moving. There is a gadget up top that is rotating and the string is moving that way.
He also changed the mickie mouse, you can see that color is different
