    Nice job , one question : have you ever heard of a tyveck suit ? I use them all the time where I work . They will keep save your clothes and maybe your skin

      Yes I have. Thank you for the pointer. Being tall they are hard to get in my size and very expensive. This industry isn't high return on investment. But neither is our health and safety. Thank you for watching and the tip. Much appreciated.

      All you really need is a blower and vacuum system to remove the debris from the wheel area...that should cut down on a lot of the stuff in the air around you.

      John Hurd, I use to polish and buff show wheels for alcoa, i worked out of Wadsworth Ohio. i did supper singles and regulars like 758'sand 829's and a bunch of others.

      No clear coat. Just hand polish or cut polish a few times a year to maintain.

      @@matthewmase3549, rust is far different than Aluminium corrosion. And I'm sorry but aluminum wheels and tanks typically don't corrode in the manner you are thinking. I have only seen pitted corrosion under fuel tank straps, not on exposed surfaces. But regardless, he said rust and I corrected him, I don't need you trying to play schoolyard mediator. Had he said corrode and I said "aluminum doesn't corrode" then you could add your 02 cents.

    Rim didnt seem to be set right and im assuming there was to much pressure on the polishing wheel or moving it to fast while it was working which caused the lines but overall its a shiny rim lol

    I,d tighten my lock nut better. I think you'd achieve better cutting action from your buff. I do on my bigger machine anyway. Just my opinion, shine on brother 👍

    The first step is too aggressive,it cut in the the rim and caused waves clearly visible.

      michaelovitch I think with this machine what you're seeing might be unavoidable. ran one for a couple years although we didn't change a recipe much. every brand was like that. unless you use an orbital sander.

      michaelovitch yeah I second that. if my alc's came out like that I'd be pissed , uneven looks like the river. if anybody was to put these on for a truck show they'd be ridiculed till they left. big thumbs down.

      WORLDisFULLofLIES It was covered in concrete. I don't know of a better way to clean one covered in concrete. Also,the odds are against anyone polishing out a wheel that will let them get like that anyway.

      Genysmen runner aluminum. If it’s chrome it would be made of steel and polish way different.

      Integra DIY the old sanding process used to do that. We’ve since changed the angle and don’t have that issue anymore.

      We usually do use gloves in the wheel machine room but gloves are not required. Gloves hold back your grip and make things more dangerous on the machine.
