He Shelley! I love Crosshatch Quilts videos and I just saw her new video couple of hours ago! Her stitching is amazing, I loooove her finish and I am barely holding myself from getting that pattern 😂😁😂 it is so hard when you see the finished pretty like that. For And they sinned I love my choice of floss but honestly if I used called for floss I think it would have been cheaper and easier, but at this point I am committed, I have to go with my choices 😁

Hello Heidi! I am Paola 🙂as I trust your experience I would lik to ask you a suggestion. As there is Christmas in July, I would like to stich the Prairie Schooler Santas, using the same fabic for every Santa... I don't know if I wil begin from 1984 and up or from 2023 and down... What kind of fabric would you choose? I was thinking Zweigart linen natural or mocha, bit I am not sure and I open to other kind of fabric, either Aida, Lugano, Murano. I read that Davos is not pleasant to stitch. And you would stitch one over one in 18ct or maybe two over two on32ct? Thank you in advance!!!
Hi Paola! What a great idea! I started mine couple of years ago and I usually put the year they were printed on my Santa finishes instead of the year I stitched them, this way I don’t have same year couple of Santa’s. I used 16ct milk Chocolate Aida when I first started, but to be honest if I started them now I would choose 32ct linen. I do think warmer colors would look good on those Santa’s since they all have red coats and I would even suggest Gingerbread by PTP or mocha so the beards and snowflakes shows up nicely. On 18 I usually use 1/1 but sometimes the fabric shows through that’s why I prefer 32ct linen. Hope this was helpful Paola. Happy stitching!!! 😊
@@stitchingfae thank you Heid ifor your message! I think I will use 32ct Mocha Zweigart. I am not sure I can find Gingerbread here in Italy... so the simplest way is the best for me. And with Mocha I am sure I can buy the linen so I can stitch as may Santas with the same fabric (if I only have the time). So you put the of the Santas by The Prairie Schooler? I am thinking to stitch the 1984 one, which is very 80s in the way it's designed. That is a good idea. I can specify if I frame them the exact year when I stitched on the back of the frame... I've watched Lori Holt new flosstube and she uses library cards in an envelope on the back of the frame. Isn't that a great idea? I am now working on the Treasure Islands SAL by Owl Forest Embroidery and I am enjoing so far. That's a pity I didn't order their variegated pack before, as I do love them. So I am stitching them with the DMC colors, which are good anyway! Maybe I will order their threads for Alice. Last time the parcel arrived after two months! Better late than never.
