I remember this tragedy. At the time, the TV was where most people heard of the latest happenings. We were watching channel 8, from Nova Scotia. We live in New Brunswick. "Nova Scotia is an island..." No, it's not an Island. Nova Scotia is not an island. RIP to all the people on this flight.
I'm still pissed no engineers from McDonnell Douglas who designed the MD-11 wiring harnesses and ECS ducting during 1985-87 were ever convicted. Same goes for the individuals who installed the IFE system in 1997.
Thanks for the upload. I wonder if that reporter on his honeymoon who took the flight a couple nights before used the IFE system. It was a very fancy system for 1998, but a ticking time bomb
Is it just me or is the rabbi at 5:19 pretty disrespectful in the way he answers the question about how the family members of the victims are feeling? He just seems so WHATEVA! I remember I was 12 when this plane went down and hearing the story back in 98 of the fire in the cockpit and just feeling bad that the pilots probably suffered on the way down..I truly hope everyone from this and all disasters like it are resting peacefully
Dumping fuel with a Fire on Board is something you don't want to to do I know your too heavy but a Planes wires can only last so long being on fire. RIP to the victims!
The investigation concluded that them dumping fuel did nothing to cause the crash. They concluded the plane would not have made it to Halifax under any circumstances. Doomed from the moment it left New York
@@quadderboy123 not exactly they followed the checklist and turned off unnecessary power which also included the resurclating fans which was pushing the fire to back of plane shortly after they did this fire engulfed the cockpit and caused the plane to crash so if they hadn't done that they maybe would have made it

No, it's not an Island.
Nova Scotia is not an island.

Greetings from another peninsula inhabitant ✋🏼
RIP
To the passengers and crew of Swissair Flight 111
I heard the plane flying low that night. I was at one of the memorials on Sunday. We will never forget this or the people on this plane ❤️

All the individuals involved with that thing should be in jail.

Small wonder israelis are so inhumane when we realise most of them hail from his same flock
