  • Task Force History presents "Lackland Air Force Base 1952". These unpublished historical photographs were taken by / belonged to Air Force Sergeant Charles Arnold Fry of Michigan. These photos are a chronicle of his military service Lackland Air Force Base in 1952.
    Charles A Fry joined the newly formed US Air Force at the beginning of the Cold War and went on to serve until the end of the Vietnam War. During his many years of service as an aircraft radio technician, he was stationed at numerous Air Force bases including Lackland, Scott, Niigata, Nellis and Pease.

    Those were my barracks in the Summer of 1977.

      1974 here, no new building for us.

      I went thru basic in 92. I didn't live in them but it's certainly a flash back. Probably marched by them a dozen times a day lol
