Basically, hana is just a database which works fast versus s4 hana being a suite which has ui5,fiori ,underlying hana db .

A few things: I know this video is more than a couple of years old now, but you said MM, SD and other modules are under threat because of S/4 HANA, why? I mean currently in S/4 HANA, we have all the different modules present--SD, MM, TM, FI and others.
Also at the end you said, S/4 HANA has a few advantages over SAP Business Suite for HANA, I thought initially in the video you said they are the same. What's the difference between them then?

I want to know what exactly has changed from SAP ECC6 to SAP S4 Hana apart from it being on cloud, more beautiful GUI, or accessible through browser. It is an upgrade of ERP, and doesn’t give committed productivity and reduced cycle time or cost to implement, have higher change management, higher chances to get failed and don’t deliver cash flow and automation productivity.
Why would I recommend an ECC6 customer to go for SAP S4 Hana rather than recommending them to adapt best in class tools like HighRadius, Celonis and others who on papers commit productivity, provide plug and play ready to implement features, provides predictive analytics, built in OCR technology, Transformation and self-learning auto cash algorithm, leverages data and do pattern analysis on customer’s behaviors etc.
Sir, Can I use ECC 6.0 with backend HANA Database instead of Oracle/DB2/SQL Server etc. ?Any option ?

I had experience following module just because retails project SAP EWM, SAP POSDM, SAP F&R & now SAP B1 fully functionally but never gone through the backbone of the SAP ECC or R/3. Functional point of view is just creating batch jobs get our work done & don't care database guys but todays i understand how DB team gone through every day. you are the one who explained the way we all want. Really good information even for SME as well.

I am currently training so I could be wrong but it looks like SAP HANA is the database and SAP S/4 HANA is the most forward-looking platform that uses the SAP S/4 HANA database as opposed to the SAP Business Suite platform on the SAP HANA database. So basically I would try to get an overall understanding of the SAP enterprise systems as a whole and then get more specific into S/4 HANA (latest version w major upgrade). Hope that is helpful!

From ERP and ECC, I presume that you’re a developer. If yes, then HANA should be a great module for you.
