Well well well, after complaining and whining about my shift assist (quick shifter) on my Bmw S1000rr not working, it’s finally fixed 👍, the problem turned out to be bigger than I initial thought but once we actually figured it out, I was all about finding a solution, which we (max Bmw) did, it then just took me finding the time to go and get it sorted, today was that day!! I’m a happy camper once again thanks to max Bmw figuring out the problem and then fixing it! The trip to CT was a nice cruise and I always enjoy it, also I briefly touched on the popular question I often get, is the Bmw s1000rr a reliable bike?, hopefully you guys enjoyed the little cruise to CT and my excitement after getting the quick shifter sorted haha I was STOKED, appreciate all the support as always, thank you guys! hahaha everyone knows bmw is German junk but naw it’s been a pretty solid bike and if you dig in the forums plenty of people with high mileage s1ks all day long that actually rip em but thank you!

10:40: you are right. Ya gotta step out of NYC just to stretch the bike. I plan to hit the 95, then turn around after a few rest stops. Also wanna cross over the Tappan Zee into upstate NY.
100% you should, it’s a great feeling and experience to go a ways out on your machine man, visit bear mountain if you can, it’s not far at all and it’s a totally different change of scenery

ive always said that about people i work with that ride...they NEVER want to ride. they'd rather just ride to work. everytime i ride im going all over the place.
Yeah, I don’t even ride to work often bc it makes me want to keep going and ride right pass my jobs lol but yeah, I’ll never understand people that have motorcycles but ride around local ALL the time or never leave the state or at least take length rides and rack on the miles, some people don’t even leave their towns, it’s wild lol

City riding is alright taking in the sights but I love back roads. There’s a route I usually take from my city to Niagara Falls through the back roads and it’s sooo relaxing!

My new 2021 R1 is the first bike I’ve ridden with qs/ab and it’s just so foreign to me, lol! So used to using clutch for shifts I’m having a hard time breaking the habit but getting more used to it at the same time. The other day I went to up shift with qs and still let off the gas a little just out of habit lmao..
Yeah it’s definitely something you have to get use to, when you’re use to the “ pause “ of letting off and grabbing the clutch a QS is a whole new world but once you get use to it, the roles reverse and now using the clutch feels weird and off lol
Yeah man I know the feeling I I bought a new zx10r 2021 with all the new stuff man I was the exact same way it was crazy but I'm getting used to it little by little and loving it by the way

@4:31 That's the Whitestone bridge....It also connects Queens and the Bronx. the Verrazano is between Brooklynn and Stanten Island.... some of take that on our way to New Joyyzee! But you knew that. Your Auto-Blip is broken pops. I'm cutting you some slack.🤣

The G310 is a nice bike. Took one on a test ride a couple weeks ago. It's a good little city commuter type thing. It's not gonna win any races but it's kinda fun, and a way into BMW on a budget. I'd say it's BMW's answer to the Duke 390 and similar.

@@MADLITS1K the G310 R is roughly £5k OTR over here, and the GS around £5.5k so in the same price bracket as a Duke 390, Vitpilen 401, Yamaha MT-03 so price wise very competitive. It's fun to ride and feels quite a bit more expensive than it actually is. And it handles really nicely in London traffic.

To me reliable and any bmw products don't go good together but if you have the money more power to anyone . Reliable would be toyota and toyota in the bike world might be yamaha.
I agree, I have a Camry with 170k+ miles on it now lol I’d probably never buy a BMW car (I’m a JDM guy anyways grew up on Hondas) but motorcycle wise, I made the choice to roll the dice on my dream bike and it’s been rock solid, I regret nothing and it’s been a hell of an experience.
